I recently moved out of my big beautiful home to a much smaller home. It was a big home for me anyways, 2 story, hardwood floors, 2 family rooms, 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. It the very first home I bought when I was 19. I unfortunetelly couldn't afford the payments and finally they sent me a statement saying if I didn't come up with 6,000 in a week I would lose my home. They gave me one month to pay, but the price increased like 500-1000 dollars a weeek. I of course couldn't come up with that money so we moved to a 1 story 2 bedroom home that we are now renting. They forclosed on my home yesterday. I am very sad to have lost my home and that I have had to downgrade, but I think it has been for the best because now I can afford many things.
Have you ever lost your home due to a forecloser?
Have you ever had to downgrade in order to afford to live?

My family had to move out of our 6,900 sq. ft. home April of 2005. I had lived there since I was 8 and moved out when I was 17. It was very hard, considering I grew up there and all of my friends used to come over and hang out. I've gone by the house a few time since then, but I've moved on. We were very fortunate and my mom already owned to houses, so, we chose the one that my mother grew up, because it is completely paid off.we were very fortunate to have options unlike many people, but now my parents are getting ready to build their dream house, so, in the end everything has worked out.

I am sorry to hear about your house. However, take it easy and I am sure one day you will bounce back and get back all the things that you have lost. that's why I keep on saying that banks are evil...

Oh, I'm sorry to hear that! :(
I'm so afraid to buy my first home, because I never know what's going to happen, and I'd hate to lose my first home to foreclosure.
