Many, many times I am at cross roads...and have no idea why something happens to me; yes, I like many of you ask myself, especially when something bad happens - WHY ME???! While there is no answer to that many people (and I did too) use the phrase 'everything happens for a reason'....but, does it???

In my opinion everything does happen for a reason. I think life is one big quiz that GOD puts you through to test your faith. The question Why Me is considered selfish even though we all ask it. The reason I say this is because more than likely it's not only you. Would you rather it be someone else? I know that some of the things I have been through I wouldn't wish it on anyone else.

And you are absolutely right...I don't want the things that I went through for anyone else, in fact many times I have found myself praying that I should get whatever bad things are to happen to my loved ones-
But, I also believe that good things happen to good people and the other way around and I like to beleive that I am good so...when something really nasty happens to me I simply don't understand why???
Yes...there may be a reason...I just miss it at times.
Thanks for participating in this discussion.

Yes bad things happen, and why you ask? If we expect bad things to happen then they will because we have brought them into being, let me explain. I was once that type of person, and now I am not because I now believe differant and have faith to believe and be of a positive attitude. For eg: People drive into a shopping carpark some say on entering "I can never get a parking spot and i know that i will be driving around and it is going to take a long time". Then there is the other type who on entering say "I know I will get a park spot" guess what happens! You receive what you believe in. I know because I used to feel that i was unlucky and nothing went my way, But now I have learned to be positive in things and believe in good and not bad.
I have come to reliase where the good come from.
It is a gift from God, Faith is given to those who ask for it and believe in it. There are spiritual laws God has given us as a benifit to help us. Ask and it shall be given you, Seek and you shall find, Knock and the door will be opened unto unto you.( The bible dose not say maybe but will be opened)
Another cause for bad things to happen is our conditioned minds, by our up brining, school teachers, friends etc, who have played a part in destroying our creative minds, our future development, hurting us so as we no longer believe in ourselven. This is a suttle change and we do not notice it happening, like the frog in the pot on the stove. Once damage has begun, it then snowballs and we become more and more controlled by negative.
The bible speakes of "being transformed by the renewing of our minds" We need to alter our belief systems, renew our thinging, transform and change habbits with God's help we can do anything.
We confess with our mouth what we will posess.
The bible also tells us that "if we confess with our mouth that what we believe in our heart unto salvation.
The word salvation means a lot of things in the greek, meaning salvation of our soul, healing of our bodies, restoration of relationships, financial, release from bondages. The word unto in the greek means travelling forward in the direction we are heading. Therefore, if we speak out with our lips and believe in our spirit that for which we are believing for, (finances, health, job, etc) we are heading in the direction to receive it, providing we keep believing without doubt.
I hope this can help you understand and help you change for the better.Do not focus on the past but look to a brighter futur as the hurt from the past will only destrroy you.
May be there are times in your life others have hurt you, then you must forgive them in order to set yourself free from this hurt, no matter how big it was, forgiveness or unforgiveness has the power to heal or destroy you.

I believe that is one way to look at things and that should bring people a lot of peace...in my case, I like to dig and often find the reason why something went wrong so I don't repeat it again and when I cannot find a reason is hard.
Thank for answering and have a good day.

In most respect no. I think that everything happens as a result.

And this approach is great in order not to dwel in bad happenings but at times things happen that you have no control upon and those are the things that I have difficulty explaining and dealing with...
Thanks for participating.

Everything happens for a reason. I always got told that when I was child, My mother use to tell me, and still tells me that everything happens for a reason. Sometimes people that don't believe in this saying say: This can't be true, people tell you that just to have an excuse if something wrong happend. With all do respect, to people who think like that. They really aren't thinking right. I think everything does happen for a reason, I even say it when something good happens to me, or something related to me.
I even say it to Bill Gates. It happend for a reason that Bill Gates is the richest person in the world. It happend for a reason that the world is round. It happend for a reason that George Bush got kicked out of the army as a young man, He's the president now!
I hope this helped. www.cashcrate.tk
