I remember when I first heard about Friendster. It was the talk of the town! I didn't particularly care for it until one of my friends invited me to join. By then, things have calmed down, but I actually started to enjoy it. I started so late, that by the time I joined Friendster, MySpace was introduced and everybody and their mama started talking about MySpace. So, needless to say, by the time I joined Friendster and was requesting all my friends to join, they all told me that Friendster is dead and it was all about MySpace now. What happened here? I know Friendster started this whole thing but they just slowly faded in the background. I haven't checked my Friendster account in a long time and I almost forgot about it too. Is Friendster gonna last? What do you think?

I am an active member of the friendster and I can tell that it is very much alive. However, I think it's no longer that active in your country (USA) because of the presence of newer sites of the same sort.
I've seen in a TV show here in the Philippines that majority of the Friendster people are now Filipinos and Myspace is now ruling other country's friendship networking. So if I were to talk about friendster's status here, I could say that it an still last because a lot of people are still addicted about this friendship site here in the Philippines.

Yes, it still alive! I've been a member since january 2004. it's doing really well, I reckon. I once considered to join myspace, but it's not so popular here in southeast asia and I'd hardly find my old friends there, so I cancelled. Friendster rocks! lol

Actually, Friendster is STILL alive. (Well, here in the Philippines atleast). And Myspace isn't "the talk of the town" here. Not a lot of us use myspace, most are Friendster users. :)

I've been a Friendster user since 2003 it wasn't famous that time. But years later, every person I met would ask, "Do you have Friendster?" or sometimes, "Please give me some testimonial." and so on and so forth. Yes, Friendster is still alive and I just use it in connecting with my friends who are out of the country especially my online friends. MySpace isn't that in here in the Philippines and I don't know the reason behind that.
