what was the main issue of the movie?

in a movie that is highly appreciated all over the world what was the main issue?
what was the director looking for in the script? was it a movie just to show the mightiness of acheles or it was the movie to show a love story which destroyed the TROY?
Who do you think was the hero of the story was it Acheles, Hector or Paris?

We read stories and come to discover each character from different angles. I myself think Hector is the hero, and not Achilles, however, I do believe that Brad Pitt happened to have portrayed his role very well thus was mistaken as the hero all along. Who wouldn't come to love a good-looking villain anyway? :)

This is a movie with no clear protagonists and antagonists. There simply are two sides warring over Helen (Paris), the desire to conquer more (Menelaus), immortality (Achilles), and honor/love (Hector).
I personally care the most about immortality (not in the literal, physical sense) and conquest, so I am more inclined to side with the Greeks. Most people, though, will side with the Trojans because of their strong affinity to love and peace. There's a choice to be made here, and thus there's no right or wrong side between the Greeks and the Trojans. They're all heroes in their own rights, but they're flawed characters as well. In the end, they're just men and women tangled in an epic old story of differences.

I believe that hector was the hero out of this movie. He was the honorable one. Achelles, despite how well Brad Pitt played him, was a bully and yes in the end he was liked, is still not the hero. Paris, I don't know if it was just the way Orlando Bloom played him but, I didn't like the character. He was a pansy, and just annoying. I didn't buy into the whole Paris and Helen big love story.

main issue of the movie was war of troy achilles is a very great fighter,achilles is the hero of the movie not hector

I don't think there is one particular hero in the movie. The main storyline was based on and historical event so the event had to die missions to it and on each dimension there was a lead character and those are the two lead characters. Each of them were played by the actors to the maximum and I think they did justice to the characters. And each of them were heroes in their own dimension to plate the role they were supposed to end that was important according to the storyline. So I think both actors are the real heroes of the movie and they cannot be separated.

man this movie waz based on a true story so No heros of it
so the main issue is to remember how bravely was thoose ppl...
concerning achilles or 'uh-kil'eez' az the greeks spill it...he was the greatest warrior back then..n they based everything on their life on the willing of their gods(apollo,zues..etc...)we're talkin about history not a written story...i mean thats wat really happened 5000 years ago...
