How old were you when you had your child?

I had my daughter when I was 17...I had my son when I was 19...My daughter didnt have her first child until she was 22 and had been married for 2 years already. My son is 25 and still has no children. So it doesnt always hold true.

I dont believe it is true. Life happens no matter what your age. I had my daughter at 14. She is now 15 and no babies. I had my first son at 17, my second son at 18 and my last son at 20. I realize they are still young but I dont see grand babies anywhere in the near future.

Well I hope that isn't true. I had my first child at only fifteen. She is now ten and I am a month away from turning 26. She is in the gifted and talented classes at school and I am always telling her that she has to make good choices. If my parents had watched me more closely I might not have had her so young. Who knows. I think everthing is for a reason.

I was 18 when I got pregnant the first time but only found out years later that I truely had a miscarriage with this baby . I had often wondered over the years but only found out for sure when I started miscarring other babies I was pregant with . I ended up carrying my first child to term when I was 19 almost 20 , I was 20 by the time I delivered . My mom was 19 when she got pregnant with me and I was her oldest and my sister was pregnant with her frist at the age of 19 as well . My sister and I have always wondered how old our grandmother was when she had her first child as it was a strange coincidence that our mother and both us girls had all got pregnant and had a baby at the same age and we always found this kind of interesting so I can see how what we do as parents could be a factor on what our children do when they are our ages as well . I don't believe this is the case all the time but it does tend to happen more often then people realize :)

I had my daughter when I was 19! I thought I was way too young but it happened and she helped me to not go crazy & wild (and probably get in trouble). So I don't think it is a bad thing to have a baby at a yound age, my mom had my brother when she was 18, so I guess maybe the age thing is true.

No I don't think it is true. My mom was 17 when she had my brother and he does not have any kids yet. Then she had me when she was 21. I had my first kids when I was 24 years old.

I was 21 when I had my son, he was 19 when he had his son. I never had a daughter just one son. He only had one son as well.

I was eighteen when I had my first and ninteen when I had my second. I was married before I had my children and it wasn't until ten years later that I had my last.

That's not true. Just because you have a child at a certain age does not mean your child will. You don't actually believe that do you? I was 21 when I had my first child.

I got pregnant when I was 17. My daughter knows that I was young when I had her, she is 8 now and when the time comes we will talk about it all the time. I already tell her that she has to go to school and have a good career and do all the things she wants befor having kids. We don't talk serious about it right now cause she is so young but we will. I just try to get her to see that there is so much for her to do with her life and all the fun she will have when she gets older like travelling and i tell her she'll be able to spend all her money on herself, and buy all the clothes she wants when she has a good job...lol...Just my way of getting the idea into her head that having kids young is not the way to go.
