I am staring my gardening now. I would like to know which veggies are the easiest to grow. How do you plant them? Do you use fertilizer and plant food?? How well do they grow in your part of the world? How do you care for them?I know radishes are one of the easiest. I can grow radishes by just throwing seeds outside lol. But what others are easy? Give me some tips on Gardening. Thank you.

The easiest to grow is Cucumbers...and turnips, and lettuce ..just by throwing seeds..but lettuce seeds are treats for birds..so gotta. put out some sticks with some of your grocerie bags..flipping in the air to scare them off..

Something else that works great are all those CDs you get in the mail and just throw in the trash or old programs you'll never use again -- run fish line through the hole and hang them from tree branches, plant stakes or whatever. The slightest breeze moves them and the light reflecting off them helps keep birds out of the garden... Combining several at the right heights they make 'unique' wind chimes too.

My garden each year consist of tomatoes, cucumbers, several kinds of peppers, and 1 egg plant plant. All seem easy to grow for me but I depend alot on Mircle Grow these days - rabbit droppings are by far the best fertilizer if available though. I've also grown some nice pumpkins although not as big as I would like, lettuce, and even carrots but not with the greatest success.

Years ago we lived in Texas and my 2 older sons got into raising rabbits. At one time they had 120 rabbits and I'm telling you I had veggie and flower gardens like you see in Home & Garden Magizine... People would walk by our house and ask if they could come in and look at my gardens - they could see some from the road... It was fun and I miss those bunny days.

You can grow well brinjal, ladies-finger, chilli and tomato. Also, green and leafy vegetables you can grow all the time. Just plant about seven good variety of papaya plants and you will have very good yield of papaya through out the year for your home consumption or more! Always use only bio-fertilizers and bio-insecticides in your garden, since it is diretly supplying to your kitchen. Spend about an hour in the morning regularly to care for all your plants, including flowering plants also. This habit keeps the plants well and makes you refreshed also. Always use appropriate tools and work out every task in appropriate time to make your garden radiant. Thanks.

I think tomatoes are the easist to grow among vegetables. I've had 3 of those plants in our garden. It's fine to plant your own vegetables because you're sure that these are organically grown. I use these tomatoes in salads because I know they are safe to eat raw without the fear that pesticides were used.

Peas are easy to grow and they grow very fast. Plant them in a row. The seed packet should tell you how deep. Also beans are easy They are planted in hills I put all my hills in a row though. Cucumbers, squash, carrots and lettuce are all pretty easy too. You will have to keep the carrots thined though good luck on the garden.

According to my experience easiest to grow vegetables are french beans and tomatoes. As I have observed they can be grown without any fertiliser as well and give lots of produce without much of efforts.

I just started growing veggies this year too. My garden needs to be landscaped, as i don;t have any space to plant anything in the ground, so I'm stuck with containers for now. I bought a clear plastic tent thing with shelves in to germinate seedlings and it's worked pretty well so far. I currently have; Lettuce Spring-onions Peas Carrots Strawberries (not showing yet) Cucumbers Chillis Peppers. My cucumbers and peas are doing really well, and my lettuce came up fast, but I had to thin it a lot (sowed too generously!) and it's now under attack.

I suggest that you go to your local county extenion office to find out what grows best in your area. They have wonderfu information that is specific to your area. We have always raised a garden here in West Virginia but our knowlege will not help you in the area that you live. We raise a huge garden and I preserve the food for use in winter. Gardening is very easy and rewarding. We really dont have any problems growing anything in our area.

Tomatos, lettuces and peppers are really easy to grow. I have limited space in my garden so I like to seed them indoors in a small green house. When they start growing, I harden them and then plant them. I do this to ensure they are going to grow. My neighbor digs a small seed bed with her hand and places the seeds in it. Either way, you're going to get something. I like knowing and placing my crops where I want them. I use cow manue that I buy in bags and add a little miracle grow. You should check your soil to see what it lacks. I just played in my garden until I figured what worked. Good luck!
