Theres a gap and some meaning between your first cigarette and the first pack you buy for yourself. usually. For me i started smoking as i started drinking more when i was younger and the two reinforced each other. On top of that I started to want a cigarette at certain times of the day like after smoking a joint and more recently in the 1st hour i'm awake and after meals and now I'm just your regular smoker who smokes less some days and more others.

i don't smoke myself and I really don't understand the benefit of it. Yes, I've tried to smoke several times but I didn't like it at all. I have some friends that smoke and the thing is that they are mostly 16, 17 years old and I don;t know how they will be few years later. I think that this is one of the most biggest problems in todays society.

What a unique situation. You've tried to smoke but failed several times? What made you go back say the third time, or even second time for that matter. Maybe your just lucky that what your unconscious needs in life is "to smoke" not "smoke". I would say take the chance to explore why you wanted to smoke. Because the "smoke" here is the chemical aspect of dopamine being released and your adrenalin pumping, since the chemical aspect is what people get addicted to maybe you are looking for an addiction of another sort!

I am a non-smoker. This greatly contributes to my father. He never smokes. I am very sensitive to smoke when I smell it. And most of my colleagues don't smoke, either.
