Mine is The Rainmaker. It was very well-written such that it was difficult to put the book down because the plot is very interesting. Unfortunately, the movie version was disappointing. It lacked most of the highlights and drama that the book has.
The Grisham book turned movie that I think was good enough though was A Time to Kill. The actors were pretty great and the story was touching as well.

mmmmm..this is a god topic...mines the rainmaker..its a really good story and its also an eye opener for us consumer about the deception used by insurance companies.so we should be more careful about those insurance policies nowadays..we should read those agreements to avoid problems in the future

Most movie versios aren't nearly as good as the book. I just finished "An Innocent man", and while it was informative, I prefer his fiction over fact. It looks like he has written a ton of books.

I like time to kill. both the book and the movie. The characters were well defined in their role. It depicts the justice system which sometimes needed to be reminded of their role and impartiality.
