Everybody knows about chewing gum..it is the sweet substance that people chew but don't swallow. Some studies show that chewing gum can have an indirect positive effect on your teeth.Saliva is a natural buffering agent which washes the teeth and neutralizes some of the acid produced by bacteria. One study showed that after chewing gum after 10minutes each waking hour for 2 weeks, participants increased their salivary flow to a functional level. On the other hand, gum tipically contains some type of sweetner that can be harmful to our teeth if these types of gum are chewed too often or are removed from the mouth too soon....In the end, Is chewing gum good or bad for us??..

Chewing normal gum is bad for your teeth because of the sugar and out-weighs the positives. Sugurless gum however, is beneficial and helps keep your teeth cleaner and your gums healthier. Regular gum bad, sugarless gum good. Hulk smash.
