Astronomers have found a most Earth-like planet outside our solar system to date, a world which could have water running on its surface.
The planet orbits the faint star Gliese 581, which is 20.5 light-years away in the constellation Libra.
Scientists made a discovery using the Eso 3.6m telescope in Chile.
They say that the benign temperatures on the planet mean any water there could exist in liquid form, and this raises the chances it could also harbour life.
They believe that the planet may now become a very important target for future space missions dedicated to the search of extra-terrestrial life.
I found this great info on BBC News UK. This is really awesome, to find out that there is a planet the same as Earth that we are living now, and i admire those Astronomers that discovers this, very brilliant. I hope we could make living on this planet in the near future.

If ever we, or the generations after us, get to that Super Earth, I hope they would learn from this humble earth where we are now. We cannot just loot and plunder one planet after another. It may sound like science fiction but in the far future our race would have exhausted all planets that could support humans. Maybe by then we have evolved into carbon-dioxide or sulfur dependent beings.
It just makes me sad that after we have neglected this earth, our immediate solution is to leave it to die and jump to another planet. Environmental problems should be at least given the same attention as terrorism, after all natural disasters have killed more than bombings.
But still, it's good to know that when we have drained this earth of all it's resources, our future generations can call someplace else their home. Hopefully they will not be as foolish to make themselves more important than the womb that is responsible for their lives.

I just heard that the radio signal that could be sent to that planet would take 40 years to come back. It would take a hundred years to go there by a spaceship and another hundred years to come back.
So - no big idea to try to destroy and pollute that planet - not even for greedy business men or politicians.
We could always try to sell one way tickets to the blue.!:o)

Ofcouse we can certainly make our living on the planet. Bible has already mentioned that humans will be successful in finding a planet where they will be able to survive.
