Finals or Papers?

I think they're more challenging and stressful mostly because students realize it's almost the end of the semester and because so much just happens to be due at the end. I know I find them more challenging because I have so much I have to deal with. I usually have more than one paper to write, as well as regular class assignments and I have to study for all of those finals. It's just a huge pain.

I think the papers that are assigned or due a few weeks before finals make students more stressed because they suddenly realize it's the end of the year and now everything is closing in on them so they have so much more to do than they originially though. Personally, I know that papers that are due right before finals stress me out because I usually have more than one to write and get in, as well as regular class assignments, AND I have to start studying for those finals. It's all a pain.

I'm a graduate student so I sympathize! Although I have lucked out so far this year and have either had long papers, take home final exams (long questions, not *too* easy) or in class exams. Never both/all. :)

I'm a recent graduate but my last semester was split. Some of the classes I had tough final pappers/projects and in those classes, the final was a piece of cake while the other classes where I had some a-hole teachers who were bent on leaving lasting impressions with the seniors by giving us the HARDEST FINAL EXAMS ever!!! Plus the Univ. I went to, the seniors took finals the same time as everyone else and then had commencement the following week....which ment you'd had beeter had your passing grade BEFORE you took finals or you could walk across that stage and find out you gotta take a class again!!!
