Better then they're own toys ? my daughters favourite toy right now is a Bra! lol. She has MANY MANY MANY toys. And the only thing tha tkeeps her busy for more then 5 minutes is a bra. Haha. I bet if they made it into a toy it wouldnt be interesting anymore would it?!

I definitly hear you on this one Sissygrl. My daughter has a TON of toys, yet she always likes the things that she isn't supposed to have the most. I make sure I put things up high, but somehow she always gets a hold of something. The other day it was a little too quiet as I was doing the dishes so I peeked in on her and she had my inhaler. Lucky the lid was on and couldn't squirt her in the face. I freaked out, said ta ta, took it, put it up high and told her no.

LOL yea i woulda freaked out too! i try to put everything up high too, and then her dad will leave something on the floor and i'll have to yell at him. Men are not as carefull as we are, they dont think ahead about what COULD happen, they say nothing will happen i'm right here with her. Well obviously they dont know how fast a baby can put stuff in their mouths and swallow em! We dont need no accidents!!If they can't be safe at home WHERE can they be safe!?!
When i go to do dishes i take her and put her in her highchair so she can watch what i'm doing, and if she gets bored i give her something plastic t play with, one of her spoons, her bowls, or something like that. lol.
I too get scared when its "too quiet"!! They are always doing some thing they are not supposed to be doing when you dont hear anything! lol. It's a scientific fact!

Yep, that is sooooooo true. If it is "too quiet" then it is too quiet for a reason. That reason is that they are getting into something. I aggree with your statement of men not always thinking too because my hubby often says your here with her she won't get into it. I just laugh and say yea right, if I turn my back for one second she'llget into it. I usually wait to do the dishes for when she's having a nap, but once in a while her schedule gets out of whack and I end up doing them while she's playing in the living room. It is right beside the kitchen so I can just peek over, especially for the times when it's too quiet!

P.S. Just to clarify, when I said "I freaked out" that meant it scared me. I thought oh my goodness how did she get that? Not I freaked out on her.

Children/babies are naturally curious. Anything that is different than what they are used to will keep their interest for quite a while. Has anyone ever experienced giving a child a nice toy for Christmas only to have it lay on in the corner while they play for hours in the box that it came in, or with the wrapping paper it was wrapped in?

LOL. A toy in the shape of a bra? The only thing you should worry about is kids getting tangled in the straps.
Kids sometimes develop a fascination for the most unlikely things. In my son's case, he liked wearing big shoes and slippers when he was 3. It didn't matter whose they were, if they were bigger than his feet he would wear them.

lol my stepson did that too, but he was a little younger. i think it has something to do with his mom's fascination with shoes. that little boy has more shoes then i've owned in my life i'm pretty sure! I dunno how she affords to buy all the brand name stuff she puts on him with no job! and being a student TOO! god only knows.

I think it's neat for them because they have to use their imagination more with them, versus the toy cell phone that makes a bunch of annoying noises ;) My son now has his own set of tupperware, he likes to stack them, put the lids on them, put things in them and carry them around. He also loves to get into my purse, I have to hide it or my stash of feminine products, cell phone, keys, papers, money, etc will be all over the house, it looks like it exploded all over the place when he finds it.

Lol.... I dunno why kids play with things that they are not suppose to be play with or something thats not a toy. My mom tells me all the time I only wanted to play with pots, pans, and boxes instead of toys that were made for babies. When my daughter was a baby all she wanted to play with was empty coke bottles instead of her toys. If you took it way from her and gave a toy that was meant for her age she would scream at the top of her lungs till she got it back.

That is too funny. My daughter never played with my bra that I can remember. She did however prefer to play with pots and pans over her 90 dollar Dora kitchen that she insisted she couldn't live without.
You're probably right, if they made it into a toy she probably wouldn't want it.

You're exactly right, my daughter's favourite things to play with are her nappies/diapers - she grabs them straight from the pack & then uses them to cover her face so we can play peek-a-boo!
She also loves to run off with DVD's - she can play with her own but she likes to grab the Spiderman one we have coz it's bigger than the other ones - being in a limited ediction cardboard box!
She always wanted my partners console controllers & the computer's keyboard so we ended up giving her ones of her own but as you guess, it just isn't good enough!
It's weird isn't it?!
Although, at the moment my daughter's favourite thing is a big rubber duckie toy & a soft Diddl toy i received from a friend, so that's good for me!

Thats funny, atleast she is enjoying herself. I always think its funny when kids like the box better than the toy that was in it too. My kids loved to play with my tupperware dishes when they were little.
