I've been having a spot of connect trouble recently, nothing to bad just cut outs but it seems to be the same for everyone who lives near me. (with the same cable company)
What do you do when your having connection troubles? (when you can't fix it)
I hate being without the internet, I normally go spare and instantly turn to boredom. Today I just played with my son more, very tiring but alot of fun, he's very. very hyper. (I thought I was) lol
What do you do?

My friend when I don't have my internet I scream, I go stir crazy, it's like going cold turkey LOL! Seriously. I am with BT and touch wood have had a very very good service with them, unlike its predecessor where I was tearing my hair out in anger for the amount of times I lost connection, I got paranoid in the end thinking it was just me or they were doing it on purpose because I complained so much!

If I can't use my computer, I will go find something else to do. I might even do nothing for a while. There are a million of other things you could do. Such as playing with your son. That is valuable time that should not be replaced by computer time. And we all could use a bit more exercise.

Indeed.
I actually spend a lot of time with my son, awhile on here and not. it's fun bringing him up, especially how well he's doing. =)
Kudos sigma

Hehe
I get quite impatient and do regular checks to see if it's back up and if not I go checking my connection to make sure it's nothing which could be fixed here.
Kudos Polly,

Well for one I'd complain, say I use it for work and that it's harming my work, that I'd like to be provided with the service I've been paying or am paying for... I get real upset when this stuff happens to me, cause it did recently, and this company I am with can be so incompetent sometimes but I think it's due to lack of competition...

I am not so dependent on the internet. If I do not have the net I just curl up to a good book, they are my lifeblood. If I did not have books around then I would go through the withdrawl symptoms. I get fidgety, try to do something, anything to keep my mind off things. This has never happened to me save one time when we were shifting into our home and forgot where I kept my books, ofcourse ther was no TV or net either so I went nuts trying to stay clam. I had infact resorted to doing stupid things like vaccuming everyday just so I could keep myself from getting totally bored.

Well I am lucky that good old British Telecom are generally pretty good, and I have very few problems - hope I haven't jinxed anything now!! Occasionally of course, I do lose connection for an hour here or there, but it doesn't really stress me too much. I know if the worst comes to the worst, I can always go online from work the next day to check my emails or whatever, and I always have loads of gardening/housework etc to do at home, so I tend not to notice it much. I love my Internet, and the connection it gives me with people all over the world, and friends I cannot see too often, but I am by no means addicted to the Internet!

I also encountered connection problem a few days ago. Its one reason that I was far behind with all my friend's discussions. I tried using dial up but my goodness, its taking me forever to load one page after another. It took the broadband company 5 days to reconnect my internet. "sigh"
