Hey, baby, what's your sign?

I'm sure you've heard that pick-up line before, most likely in a television show or a movie. But have you ever heard it, or been asked it, in real life?
I was getting my daily breakfast (Asiago cheese bagel, toasted, with sun-dried tomato cream cheese) when this weird guy in line behind me said that very thing to me, "Hey, baby, what's your sign?" with an arrogant smile on his face. Now, I don't know if he was serious, or if he just woke up from a cryonic sleep, but, much like a deer in headlights, I didn't know what to do. After a few seconds, I just grinned, shook my head and walked off.
For fun, tell me about some of the most ridiculous pick-up line you've been asked!
And for those of you wondering, I'm Aquarius. *evil grin*

Tauranean? I like the sound of that, it's very . . . poetic. Aquarian sounds dull by comparison. Oh well. *grin*

I'm an Aries...LOL
Seriously though, it is amaxing the ridiculous things a person will say to try to get anothers attention..I think we have all had the "haven't we met somewhere before?" or "Oh, sorry, I thought you were somebody else"....I guess my all time favorite in my life was a man who saw me frequently at work; everytime he would say.."one day you will be mine".....after 3 years of that, 4-5 times a week...I dated and married him; we have been married for almost 20 years. Guess some lines are better than others..LMAO
Thanks for the memory....I had to laugh. Have a blessed day!

That's too cute! There's proof that any pick-up line, tempered with a little (or a lot) of persistence, can do its trick! Thank you for sharing that story. *smile*

I think there's an e-mail forward floating around out there that has the top 10, or top 100, corniest pick-up lines. I should try to find it so that I can post it here.

I have heard this line before, actually. I was about fifteen, and some friends and I had just come from a concert and were going to have dinner/breakfast out, and somehow the whole thing got mixed up to where I went to get us a table while everyone else was running back to get something we'd left behind. So here I was sitting in a 24-hour-diner at about 2 am, and this way too smooth looking guy comes over to the big table where I'm sitting by myself, and says "Hey, baby, what's your sign?"
Ever prepared, I reached in my purse, pulled a blank page off my ever-present mini notepad, and wrote in big letter "GO AWAY". He goggled at me, laughed, and went away. =)

That is pretty bad. It makes "Hey, baby, what's your sign" sound like something that Dennis Miller came up with. *grin*

Bah! I posted my comment too soon: I meant to tell you that I really like your avatar, fan of butterflies that I am. "Nice butterflies . . ." That could be its own pick-up line.

Oh, veggie cream cheese is the runner-up. If they're out of sundried tomato, I go with that, though I prefer it on a toasted sesame, or everything, bagel.

My favorite response to "What's your sign?" is "Stop sign!" I've never been asked this since I'm a guy, but another classic pickup line is "Is this dress felt? (rub dress with hand) It is now!"
I'm not very adventurous when it comes to flirting, so I think I'd rather spend the night alone than demean myself and others by using one of those lines.

Is this dress felt? Ha! I had never heard that one before. It was worth a chuckle.
