Hi friends! I know that un-employment is a global issue present in many countries. The business ... certainly requires some capital, some investment and surely some expertise too. Formerly I felt myself unfit for job as I was somewhat outspoken but then I tried to overcome this habit. Now I am doing job and at the moment feel comfortable due to the fact that "I will get salary on a fix date;) and I can manage my family budget too". Certainly most of mylotters would have different views too. How would you go for if you are asked to opt for one?? Do you believe that business is better than job?

Hi Aliasad! I am a student at the moment but planning for a search of good job. I hope that I will find my job sonner just after completion of my studies. I believe that I can do a job rather to have business becoz I not have much capital nor I have expertise. Other blessing of the job is fix salary day off course. You can better understand ;) Good to see you & have a nice day!

Having spent over two years unemployed and having no income at all, I would chose the job over the business any day. At least with a job you have an income on a regular basis while with a business you can't guarantee any income at all.

I have always wanted to be a business woman and while I have to settle for “job with fixed salary”, I have always contemplated business of my own enterprise. However, as of now I am not in a situation to pursue that dream, I had to opt for fixed salary and stability in life. Life has different shades now and I have been planning to open one boutique (clothes) of my own. For this, I will require some time and I am gathering finance. I think, in the beginning of career, one should opt for a good, fixed salary job and as days pass on, with proper fund and experience he can chase his dream of business. It is never too late but it comes with lot of hard work and time and preparation for the worst. Thank you.

Doing a business is not always better than having a job. If your business is successful, it may be better than a job. However, a high-paying job may also be better than a start-up business, for instance. I am doing a business now and I enjoy doing it. Personally, I feel that the level of satisfaction is greater when doing a business because I can do and create something whatever I think it is fit. You can't always do it when taking a job because you need to get an approval from your boss. I am single and at this moment, I don't have kids whom I have to take care of. When you have a family, doing a business is much harder because of family responsibility. Most of business definitely needs financial capital but at this moment, what my business need is a HUMAN capital. Finding a right person whom I can be a partner with is not easy. So, your question doesn't have a clear-cut answer because it depends on many factors such as whether or not you're a risk taker, whether or not you have a family responsibility, etc. Someone may choose taking a job if his factors that are needed to be a successful entrepreneur have changed.

I like a job with a fixed salary. Although I have that maybe that makes people a little lazy. Having your own business can be more exciting and more stressful but you also have the chance to make more money!

I like fixed salary job more than business, but don't forgot that business man can make more money than the fix one, if you can handle both why not? Try to share your friends and make business and keep you fixed job, I know it is hard, but when some help you can do it.

since i've been into business for 5 years already, i'd say that i'd rather be in business than have a definite salary. in business, you can forecast your earnings. in my line of business, which is computer rentals we have seasons of high and lows. we usually have high income at the end of school terms. during these times, the students will rent computers longer that they used too. they also print lots of school works. our earning usually doubles or even triples. but during lean months, like semestral breaks, we just have a break even income. so what we do is to compensate for the lean months. we save for the 'rainy seasons'. we give allowance so that in case we run out of budget, we have something to get from. and as i viewed it, the income is still better than having a job.

Since I've always been my own boss and had my own stores, I have to say working for yourself is much more pleasant than doing a job where you depend on the success of someone else. I've had jobs working for other people too. There are good and bad about both. When you own your own business you tend to work harder, but you know what you are working for. You are responsible for so many things but it give you a certain sense of pride to know you are doing well. When you work for someone else you have that security of knowing how much you will make and when you will get paid for the work you do. It certainly helps when you deal with budgets. If I had it to do all over again, I would spend my effort opening another business, working for myself. Education in the field you are working, treating your employees like you would want to be treated, hard work and customer values rate so much higher than being stuck in some back office somewhere.

So much impressive comments indeed. Surely, if you are at job, how much you input the efforts, the result would never fall your success ... but I would like to add here that good performance is also acknowledged by good organizations in terms of promotions, increments, bonuses etc. No doubt, in your own business, you are the Boss and you are proud if your business flourishes and on the other part more responsible for any ups & downs. Nice to see you illustration! Thanks for response too.

No offense, but anyone can do a fixed salary job. It's the biz with fluctuating earnings that's more exciting. I like to learn, With a fluctuating earning, I will learn to increase earnings, and learn to hire people to work for fixed salary to make my biz a success.

Job with fix salary is good when you are have to support family budget and you need steady budget to go on every months. But if you want to have more money than now, business is the best way. I will choose business. It because business will be your own work, and money will fluctuate if you work hard. Jobs no matter how hard you work, money just not equal with your hardwork. Of course, many obstacles comes with business than steady job, but the result also worth it. And beside, business will be forever with you as long as you able to manage it, while jobs not. You can't be employee for the rest of your life right ?

I would choose a job with a fix salary. At least every month I’m sure that I have enough money for my family. I’m not a risk taking type of person so I always want assurance. Especially in our country, where the economy is not that good, I would rather not have a business with fluctuating income. But I can keep a business as a sideline and as an extra income to what I’m earning in my fixed job. That’s what I’m doing right now. I still keep my day job and I share a business with my brother and I just help him to manage it every weekend.

actually it's good to have a stable job first coz it gives us a fix income... no worries but i believe that no one became rich because of being an employee... people get rich when they have their own business but this requires an enough capital, and expertise... more patience more efforts... what i'm planning is just to save first and after that i will build my own business while i'm still working of course i can't do it alone so i'll be needing the help of my family...
