A challenge to all concerned Mylot members..

If this post of mine don't mean anything to you, please do not respond because I take your response here as a way of being a true mylot citizen. I am tired of seeing people making their own theories here, on how they know the earnings here. I'm tired of seeing people know-it-all, and I'm surprised at the same time why mylot don't deal with them. I report them everytime I see someone make their own guessings, with no concrete proof at all. Not to mention other violations here that we see hour, everytime, thoughout the day. I call upon all of you concerned mylotians to make this site be more helpful to all of us, try to eliminate those abusers and violators that run-around here. I am not forming a group, nor would want to become a leader, but am just an example and would want to get rid mylot of nuissance users. This will all benefit us, and make more helpful postings that we can say are of good quality. Will you just stare on those violations, like irrelevant uploading of photos, etc..? Or will you lend some of your time, report them and keep our community clean? What say you?..=)

yup. i also hate it when people try on computing how we get paid here. i mean, haven't they read the guidelines? it was properly stated there that we should not be starting discussions about mylot's earning algorithms since myLot has their own mathematicians who compute our earnings in a unique way... unique, meaning that myLot are the only ones who can compute it depending on their standards. i had been to other forums. and i hate it when we know how much we earn per discussions, per response.. etc. no more excitement and mystery. i feel better waiting for the updates every after 24 hours.. eager to know how much i earned that day. i love the way myLot works. i hope people will appreciate that, too. happy myLotting!

Those seem to me to be some of the most useless discussions ever, and also often are a pack of lies. I do really enjoy the interaction as much as anything. I am glad myLot pays, but I am also glad myLot attracts really cool folks.

that's true. instead of wasting your time computing and computing and trying to figure out how myLot pays, why not enjoy the interactions, right? there are lots of interesting discussions in this world. why focus on computations when you really won't be able to figure it out?

Some violations I've reported and some I've just ignored. It really does depend on what it is. It's good to help police this site and bit but when it comes to being consumed by the micheif makers, it's sometimes best to just walk away.

it's good to help report abuses and violations. see, atleast with much policing from us members, myLot is somehow better today compared before. too much progress already. just that there are still people around who don't understand things well.

I understand where you are coming from with this. And if I'm in a discussion in which someone is not providing any use to the discussion("I don't know" "yes" "no", and other useless answers), spamming, or doing something else wrong. Then I have no problem at all with reporting their response and giving them a negative rating. I'm more than happy to do it. :)

It is a bit rediculous that people keep trying to figure out or say they have figured out how we get paid. Mylot has told us they keep it a secret for a reason. I for one don't want cheaters and spammers or copy and pasters stealing money that I could earn. I report any violations I come across. I feel it's everyones responsibility to do so. I will never understand why people always have to cheat. I just try to stick with my friends conversations to avoid most of the crappy stuff. But I do think we all need to work together in keeping the site clean. Mylot admin can't possibly read every discussion and they ask that we report violations.

That is very true mari!;) I always give my time to report them, and I don't have to tell everyone out here whom or what I'm reporting. It's just plain common sense, that is if we know how to use it!;) I believe that you've been doing your part here, just like what the admin has told us to do so..

Weeding out mylot eh? I am still a newbie but I was newbier before and I admit to making a lot of blunders before I got the hang of mylotting. I admit to not reading the guidelines and just plunging in, you can check how my first post worked out. Haha. Actually I think our referrers should be the one responsible in introducing us to mylot, even a small gesture as hitting us in the head with the mylot guidelines would help a lot. After all the people who referred us gained something out of mylot and they should give it back by leading newbies in the right direction. Or the guidelines could be a required read before allowing a new member to post. As for reporting spammers and other violators, I agree. This is not just a money site, as we all see in the welcome page. Mylot encourages interaction among it's members and not just mindless posts for money.

Referrers, all they look out for is extra earnings here. I know that most of them depend only at us, and that, is simply cheap. I really didn't know who my referrer was back then, I could easily blame him/her too. Still, it depends on how they foresee what mylot is all about. We would be lucky enough if we get a chance to have some responsible referrers here, as I know that mine isn't! Hahaha! I go for requiring people/new members to read the guidelines, but I bet if that would happen!;)

Hello, raijin,If i was to mention about earning, i prefer not to tell people the exact figure,i will descibe about the trend i observed because it is not convicing to disclose your earning figures as you do not have any proof anyway. I also notice there are many members violate the discussion rules,I have seen few discussions which are copy and paste stuff and that member has in fact got more than 200 posts in one day, but i do not know how he can do it as he just reach 500 posts and should not be able to copy and paste.I find out that he has replied to smilar topics (7 or 8) and use the same answers everytime. I do not know whether it is permitted or not. Anyway, I hope you can enjoy the time here. Good luck, raijin.

Count me in raijin my friend, I am with you and with your good advocacy towards mylot. There are so many types of speculators/members here that more often than not speculate about how we generate earnings here without being guided accordingly by the rules. Every time I am here and will encounter violators I surely report them this forum is my extension of my inner me and I want to keep it clean the way I want my life to be free of all vices. Thank you friend for being a responsible mylot member, I am so lucky I have credible set of friends here....

I am also lucky to have met you and have you in my list, you're one of my responsible good friends here!;) I report those who speculates about our earnings, especially when I don't see any clear facts about it on how they come up to that observations.

I always reported to mylot any copy and paste of topic and response that I found. Sometimes a mylot friend showed me and so I also reported what we found. I have never paid attention to photos in the Interest section but the ones I saw in discussions seem relevant to the discussions. I found out that sometimes the report button doesn't work so I had to contact mylot by email, but now it might work again. There was a user who posted over 20 similar responses and I reported that already. I'm not doing this for the money since my earnings will not increase just because I reported someone, but more of trying to be fair. If I break the rule on here, someone will report me, so why shouldn't I report those who break the rules?

As usual, I agree with you. When I see a violation, I report it. I have no problem with reporting them as it makes the site better for all of us. As far as the money goes, I couldn't cae less how much I get or how it is determined. It isn't enough to make a difference anyway. It's just a nice little perk. Take care!

I have no problem with reporting violations when I come across them. I won't go looking for them though. Most times, I find that it's mainly newbies that aren't too sure of the rules and regulations of Mylot and, like someone else said, just need to be pointed to the rules and regulations. However, there are still a number of people who try to cheat the system and those are the ones we need to report. Because Mylot has such a huge member base, inevitably there are going to be those who will do whatever they can to earn money. Isn't it time more people started lightening up a little and had fun as opposed to resorting to low measures in order to try and earn more money?

I definitely agree with you, earning money in every ways are not that easy. Even here in mylot, discipline should always be excercised. I wouldn't mind putting quality postings, as I'm not for the money. I also don't mind receiving low number of responses, as long I don't violate mylot's guidelines..

Hi Raijin, what gotten into you? In myLot, I can see many types of people, be it know-it-all or "ignorant" as someone here called certain mylotters in another discussion. It is with all these people that you can stand out high and mighty. Isn't it a blessing and motivation for you? Many times, I saw "abusers" and many times, I hestiate to report them. Finally, it is only a negative rating they get from me or I just ignore the discussion. Would they find it no fun if they get zero repsonses and behave properly? By reporting them, it only give them more reasons to rant and spam as one can expect another follow-up discussion. myLot is a community for many people to blend and interact, and anyone or everyone is entitled to airing his own opinion and views, as long as they do not violate myLot regulations. Let's all be compassionate and considerate for one another. lol.

No, admin will do it. I'm making good friends here and don't have time to surf for trivia discussions like "Hi, hey, how are you" :( Beside, this is quite a bit dirty, but crappy posts keep honest members' standing out.. isn't it good?

I will admit I have tried to help someone out by telling them what I have done so far. I just posted a discussion about getting paid for commenting on posts, simply becasue I see a lot of people that will post something every 5 seconds, and not comment on a single one of their posts. There are a lot of discussions I have seen that would be so much better if it were commented on and turned into a discussion. I had hoped that by posting it, the people that are here for just the money would see that they do earn for it and maybe we would see better discussions. I have seen people talking about discussions that have said that people don't comment because they don't get paid. myLot does say that people get paid for commenting so is that wrong if I have posted the link to where myLot has said this and it isn't just conjecture?

It is better for you to read mylot's guidelines then, as posting links that are NOt related to a certain post is prohibited.

Thanks for the clarrification, and sorry if my point was not well-stated. Commenting on your own post, is what mylot means. As more people/mylot members respond on your own discussion, you get to earn there by commenting on their responses. You cannot earn by just commenting on other member's discussions, not unless you make your own response before doing it so. Nevertheless, if the link you posted was mylot's own explanation, then that is more understandable. It is up to those people who comes across this to read, understand and apply what they've know about it here.

It was realated to the post that I started. It was a link to where I found my information. In big bold letters at the top it says that myLot pays for posting discussions, responding to discussions and commenting on current discussions. The link was to support the information that I had found out. As I said I posted it in the hopes that instead of all the posts we see everyday that people would take the time out and be active on the posts they already make. And maybe we would see more good discussions come of it.

In fact ,mylot is not a suitable place for us to earn more money,i think many people upload their photoes, just want to share their opses, maybe they don't want to earn money by uploading photoes.I know if i post a ropy post,i would not get anything, say nothing of money.Though i have joined mylot one week, what i posted are earnest.Maybe some of you think my postes are ropy, but i have tried my best to do well.

I report people that I see as abusers, all of the time. I may run past some things that are just nuisances, rather than respond. I agree that it is up to us to maintain the integrity of the forum.

I am new to this site, and i must say that I would feel really uncomfortable reporting someone. I am not even sure that I might not be a violator. I try to read and follow the rules, but if I have upset someone please let me know. I really enjoy being on myLot, I like the range of the discussions, and finding new things to make in the crafts department or finding new recipes. I did join at first to see how much money it could generate but in reading the discussions and posting to some of them, I have to say that I am enjoying myself and really am not looking at the money. I usually only post 10 to 20 times per day, I know this isn't a make it rich place, but it is nice to have some compensation for your participation and to have fun while you are at it.
