earth-like planets discovered

wow! this news is really a breakthrough! the news said recently that a planet which has a rocky surface like our earth and a balmy atmosphere has been discovered. it is orbiting the star Gliese 581...although it is not yet proven to contain water, the most important element to support life, it really triggered the talks about the reality of extra-terrestial beings...
what can you say?

It is possible there life forms in other galaxy. But the important point is we don't know if they are friendly or not. They must look quite different from us. It is also quite sure they don't recent as we do. Would they respect life on earth, or just view us as some low life form they can take advantage of? I don't know.
