MyLot "It has been brought to your attention that you have uploaded many photos that do not appear to be your own. It is against our terms to upload photos that you do not have the right to use as this is copyright infringement. As such, unless you provide proof that these photos are yours or that you have the right to reproduce them then they will be deleted. You have 48 hours to provide this proof. Please respond to this message within the 48 hour period.

These photos I've find'it with google, they are in many publications about stars life, photos with Britney Spears, Beyonce and so on... they are public photos, it's not need for any right to reproduce them and I believe they are not uniques photos on mylot, I've seen'it for many times on the images uploaded by others mylot members, do you mean that they proved you that they have the right to reproduce them?
I don't take any images to upload on mylot if they say that "The images on this site are on the Copyright....."

The burden of proof is on you to prove that these are not copyrighted images. Just because they do not have the copyright emblem on them does not mean they are not someone else's property. Unless your source specifically states that you may use these photos then you have not been grated this right. Photos you upload should be either your property or you should have the explicit right to use them. So I ask you once more, please provide a link to the source of your photos showing where you have the right to use them otherwise they will be deleted.
For further reference, please reread our terms of use agreement (focus on 11b and 12i and read our copyright policy under the legal link at the bottom of the page).

I don't have any proof to provide you, but I don't think that I must give you a proof of the right to reproduce them since these photos are plenty on the net, on the news, these photos are not unique, even on mylot there are many copy of them....
Why you didn't tell me about these photos earlier?
Sorry, but you make me think you tell me that because my account is on 10$, and...perhaps MyLot look for escuse to not pay me?
Sorry but I just don't see how my photos that I've uploaded on Mylot need any right to reproduce them....they are commun photos, you just give a search with google and you have tonnes of them....
It's sad that, at the end, any good idea on the net seems to become a scam ...

If you are downloading your photos from the internet then they are clearly not your photos and are probably covered under "copyright laws"....I am sure that is not what you wanted to hear....and I am also sure that you are not the first or last person who will receive these notices from myLot.
I also, so not believe that myLot is a scam....there are too many people here who get paid on a monthly basis for that to be true.
I am sorry that you feel "wronged" but if they are not yours then ..... we all have to follow the rules to make this a good community to belong to.
Wishing better days ahead.

The plain fact is that you're completely in the wrong, and all your arguing isn't going to change that. Just because something appears on the internet, that doesn't make it free for anybody to use. It's your responsibility to make sure that what you use isn't under someone's copyright. If you don't want to spend the time doing that, then use your own photos, and you'll be safe.
The chances are that any photo of a celebrity will be under copyright. If someone has posted it illegally on anothe site, that doesn't give you permission to do the same. As anybody who's been on this site for some time can tell you, Mylot isn't a scam. They're protecting themselves from possible law violations. And they do not delete posts or pictures just so they don't have to pay you. If you've earned your money honestly, you will get paid. If you can't deal with that, you're free to leave.

Well the others that have responded to this have said pretty much what I'm thinking but I wanted to add this. You said in one your responses that you not have any proff and do not feel you need to provide any. I have to laugh at that cause it makes no sense and is an ignorant thing to say. If you're trying to defend yourself, prove your case, or debate with somone(especially a website/business)then it's important that you have proof. You pretty much made your side of the story look like a joke. Not being rude just telling the truth and my opinion.

Unfortunately, you do have to try and make sure that the photos you upload aren't copyrighted. If they are, and the owner of the copyright sees these photos uploaded by you, then Mylot can get into trouble and may have to pay out quite a bit of money to rectify the situation.
Just because photos are found using a search engine doesn't mean that they're common photos. My partner uploads our personal photos, but he has had trouble with people stealing them before, and so now, he puts the copyright mark on them to let people know that they're NOT okay to be republished elsewhere.
I strongly disagree that Mylot is a scam. I've been paid for each month I've been here and been paid right on time too. However, if you don't abide by the rules, then Mylot have the right to take action. Accusing them of being a scam because you don't agree with what they're doing is a little low.
I'm sorry if you don't like my opinion, but I'm just being honest.

Bottom line either they are your photos or they are not and you have written proof that you can use them. I can go on line and buy a photo but still may not use itfor anything other than a picture on the wall. I have uploaded several photos to a site to sell them. In the agrement it states that I may not post it on the internet, or other web sites. If i wish to use it on my web site I must pay a different fee.
Remove the photos and uson only the ones you have taken.

Well... I guess I will be the only one to agree with you... lol
Most of those pictures from celebrities are public and you will find them on 50 different websites.
Nobody knows where they came from in the first place... but chances are that they were scanned from a magazine or taken from a video clip.
The legit owner of course is the one who took the picture in the first place. But those photographers get paid thousand of dollars by the magazine. So now they belong to the magazine. But what is the magazine going to do with them after publishing the magazine? Nothing. The magazine did recover its money by selling the magazine.
Yes... the copyright does exist. But nobody cares about it. If they did... they would sue the fifty websites publishing those photos.
myLot is just going by the book. I think that they are not as much concerned by copyright laws... as by the members starting to publish every photo they can find on the Internet. By enforcing that policy... myLot prevents us from abusing the system and making money out of pictures which don't belong to us.
Because as everyone has said... just because it is public... does not mean it belongs to you. Just think about this... you go to the shop and buy a CD or DVD for $25.00 ... and you are not allowed to make a copy of it... despite the fact that you have payed for it... and it is your own. Now in my book... that is a lot worse.

It does not mean that when you find photos all over the net it is public... so to avoid this maybe you just upload photos taken from your own digital camera or photos scan by yourself the owner of the site or sites where you uploaded your photos can be in trouble. mylot staff is even polite enough to write you a letter for your response before deleting it other sites will automatically delete it.
