I just need an explanation on why does a water is blue. I dont think its because of the sky.. Just like when youre in the middle of the sea and it turns out that that portion is very deep. Why is that the color of the sea water there is dark blue? and when youre in the shallow part, the color is blue-green. Is there a scientific explanation for this??

hmm..its a cute question..or maybe a trick question..
i dont think i can explain this scientifically but from what i've observed, its blue because of salt..or maybe not..hehe
and it is darker on deeper spots because there is much water on that place..just like if you have a blue celophane, if you add more sheets of that color then it will be darker..^_^
im hoping im right..^_^
