Since child, i already know how to swim because i live in the village which have a small river near to my house. After school i always spend my time there at the river with my friends until my mother scold me to go back :) I learn how to swim by try and error with seing others. Kinda heart to learn actually but after a few time, i feel it's easy for me...
When i furthering study at the university, i'm shocked when hear there has a people who don't know how to swim. For me it's weird that time. So my myLot friends, can you share with me either you know how to swim or not? if yes, when you master it :) thanks

When I was five years old - my father taught me how to swim. He wanted all of us to know how to swim. We live by the Mississippi River and my parents always had a boat so we would go on the river boating every weekend in the summer. I am really glad I learned to swim and I think that it is important to learn how to do because in some situations it could save your life.

Yes, we have a boat - it is 16 foot speed boat and sits four people very comfortably. We go boating on the mississippi river every summer. We usually go to islands and go for picnics and swimming. I wish you were here because I would take you boating and you could drive the boat too! :)

I learned how to swim when I was in junior high school. We had a physical education class that taught the students to swim. Alot of us learned and some didn't. My family also took us swimming at community parks. I really didn't learn a whole lot from my techers at school about swimming. I pretty much taught myself. I know how to swim well enough to survive but I am not an avid swimmer like my husband is. We have a swimming pool in our back yard and my husband and I taught my daughter how to swim. My daughter and I haven't mastered it but we can swim well enough to survive.

Well i think, it's already qualified for being said that you master the swim technique. Am i right? Because the very basics is know how to float in water surface, then move into any direction using our body while float in the water.... :)

Oh really :) i never thought that there has a situation like that. I think, floating first before swim. Because in certain situation (survival), float will come first. Maybe your husband know how to do it and never notice it :) i think..

Most of the swimmer will learn themselves either natural talent or willing :) it's something interesting right, that is why when there's a water, then most people at their surrounding will be able to swim, and so do the city boy...it's courage to do so..

I do know how to swim. I learned fairly young, about 6 or 7. My father always tried to teach me, but I was quite afraid of deep water and would never let go of him! But one day, while splashing around with my sisters, I realized that I was lifting my feet off the bottom and staying afloat! So I guess his intentions paid off. lol.

The difficult time is to make first step into it, we never realize it until we try on our own and feel the experience :) thanks to your father who teach you right..

Oh don't just give up patricia :) there's a plenty of time you have, try and try and try until even don't notice when you already know how to swim...practice makes perfect right. Put aside all the negative thought and try your best. :) ok
