Friends and family involved in the war

Do you have any friends or family involved in the war? What are your feelings on it? My brother in law is currently serving an 8 month stint in afganastan. I hope that he comes home safe. How about you? Do you know someone over there?

My son and his wife both are with the 82nd Airborne out of Ft. Bragg . The son just left to return back to Afghanistan yesterday . I'm surprised at just the short 8 months for your bother in law tho...the sons tour is 15 long months .As far as my feelings of the troops? I'm a vet myself and the troops have my full support . We send off care packages and letters every week and I encourage everyone to do the same .

My brother in law is from fort bragg also. I'm not sure why his group got such a short tour compared to the other soldiers over there. Thats how it was last time too. he goes over from march to november then hes home for a few months. this is his second time over. i hope your son and his wife come home safe very soon
