I have been to trying to lose my second babies - baby wieght. I had a c-section and feel that it hindered my weight loss...I just cant seem to loose any pounds...I am hoping that some of you guys can give some helpful hints on how to get on the skinny train and loose some weight. I am a SAHM and thought that all the running around I do would help and I am lucky if I get one real meal a day. I am willing to listen to any ideas you have, I am just stuck and my richard simmons work tape is not working for me this time around (with baby #1 it did) :)
Thanks in advance for all the great suggestions :)

I was 230 lbs and I dropped down to bout 149lbs in maybe 6 months. I don't like to exercise or diet and I am not an extremely healthy person. I did gain some weight back because I look better at 160lbs. At 150 or so, I look extremely sick. My advice to you is to cut out carbonated drinks, eat smaller portions, don't eat after 5pm, no eggs, pork or beef and not too much bread. Thats what I did and it worked great.

Am I allowed to recommend other websites? If not, then please delete this, as I have no intention of violating the rules. But there's this website sparkpeople.com that has a food journal, and fitness plan that you can customize for your personal goals. It helped me lose quite a bit and has been getting a lot of positive press these days. I highly recommend it.

You have to have a lot of motivation and moral support. I have had two kids and how I lost the weight and keep it off is by walking. I walk nearly 10 miles a week. It is great excercise and if you have a stroller than it is good for your kids as well. Getting your kids out in the fresh air will help them sleep better at night. So it is a win win situation. Even better, if you have neighbors or friends that enjoy walking. Ask them to walk with you. That is a good way to stay movtivated and moral support. Good Luck!

I think losing weight for anyone is really difficult. There are a couple of things you need to do to accomplish your weight loss goals. The first is that you really do need to eat healthy, low fat meals through out the day to stabilize your blood sugar and increase your metablolism. If you are only eating one meal a day, you are not providing the fuel your body needs to burn calories. You can go to weightwatchers.com and follow their plan. Here's a tip, join the site through one of their special offers. They usually run them all the time and you can get three months for a specified price. I did this and it was enough to get me started. After the three months was up I let my membership lapse, but I had the plan already in place and didn't need to extend it. As for exercise, try to vary your routine. Walk one day, do your Richard Simmons the next, etc. Buy some inexpensive hand weights and start using those to help burn more calories and build more muscle.

OMG I am having the same problem however I had birth of my kids natural. I have a 5 yr old I gained 50 lbs while pregnant with her. I lost all the weight within 6 month. I have a nine month old and I only gained 25 lbs while pregnant with her. I was excited I thaught I would be back to my size in before spring boy was I wrong I have only lost 7 lbs since I had my 2nd baby. I get on my treadmill and wear a sauna suit everyday and I dont know why I just cant get this weight off. I also nursed with both kids. How old is your baby? let me know I was going to post the same discussion.

The best way that I have found to lose weight is to watch what goes into your mouth. Keep a notebook and write down EVERYTHING you eat. Even if it is a bite of your child's food. I find that just writing the food I eat down cuts down on what I choose to eat. However, there is another step. Now, you need to actually look at what you've eaten. Look to see where the extra calories are coming in. Do you snack in the morning, while waiting for something, or do you eat really large meals? Figure out what your vice is and then figure out a way to stop it.
Always remember that in order to lose weight, calories out must be greater than calories in.
