My only kid is celebrating her birthday today although Iam not with her because I am in japan as a baby sitter.I just greet her through a call from the computer.This our first time to be away with each other especially with this special occasion.

For a mother like us it's not that easy to be away with our kids, especially that they are still young and needs all the love and attention, anyways, what you did is for the future of your kid.

i know what you feel, i'm with the same situation like yours thought i'm not working, i have new family now, i been a single mom for 11 years and on the 4th of may it'll be my daughter's 13th birhtday and it'll be the first time that i'm not there beside her. I used to planned party for her every year, it made me miss her more now!

That's never easy, I moved 1600 miles away from my youngest 2 years ago, so I missed being with her on her birthday, at Christmas, but I'm going there in a month for her high school graduation! :) However, she knows that I love her and miss being with her on special occasions, and we talk almost every morning and evening, she calls me before going to school in the mornings, and when she doesn't I miss that too. She is coming up to visit this summer and I can't wait!
