how do you like the education pattern in your country

I'm a Chinese girl, I don't like the educaion pattern in China.Because it's so dull,and i can say Chinese students are regarded as a reciting machine.Chinese emphasis on the marks not skills.But I wonder hom much we will use in the society that we have learnt in school?

I also live in the Philippines but was educated in a Chinese school. I've had days in primary school that were mostly filled with recitation and memorization and all that. Good thing during highschool, we were allowed to learn a bit more on our own, but its still not as 'free' as you might think. Its still mostly memorization, but recitation can be in your own explanation.
