What makes our star rating to go down to even 2...!

I could be wrong but I think it has to do with how people rate your discussion and comments. Maybe these people have a lot of negative ratings. OR maybe no one has really rated them. Once I hit 100 and got my star rating, I was a 9. It has not changed yet but I suspect it takes a little while. =)

These represent your rating. I always rate discussions and responses. The plus rating pushes your star number up, the minus decreases your rating.

well about the stars...my thinking is little different from others...i think it depends on the user how active is he or she is....means does the user logs in everday or not.

Initially the reputation percentage comes down or goes up to frequent because it's the effect of DRS the users mark to you. So out of ten users if eight people mark you negative you shift to 2 in the star. And ones you reach a hight to 1000 +'ve marking then some 700 negative DRS would bring you down to 2. So just relax and work with confidence and do not care this reputation percentage that seriously. All the best from oarnamav.

I am sorry but I have neve seen anyone with a star rating of two or three. Even when I was new born to mylot, I either had no rating at all, or I began with a rating of 6 all of a sudden. I do not say that it is not possible to have a rating of 2 or 3 but the thing is that I am simple clueless about this. Dont worry your rating will change, try to put some good discussions and post some really good responses. The quality of both responses as well as discussion will pay you soon, dont worry, keep working hard, loads of luck to you.

I was 9 star today and gradually after responding to a member's discussion -- I noticed that I am 8 immediately .. but I don't mind about this -- I know I am working hard and I have no ill - will against anyone:).. if anyone thinks I am bad then I have apologized too.. Now I am also wondering after coming to 8 that I will get my 9 rating again or not

The little + and - buttons is what changes it. Everyone has one next to their name. + makes it go up and the more people push it the more star rating you will have. The more the people push - the worse your star rating will get and some people will have low low ratings like that because after 100 you only get what people has given you like I started with 4 stars. And if you have that low amount and people constantly don't like what you say and keep pushing - they will go down. Also the number next to your name is not your post count. It is pretty much the points you have gained for your activeness.

at first i even don't know that i have a star, i've just figured it out last week i think recycledgoth's is the best answer i was 9 before but these days i got 8 maybe my posting is not that good hehehee

sorry dude i really have no idea abt the star rating at this moment .hopefully i will get my star rating by 2m.As u can see currently my no of posts in only 92 including this one.So i hope to get my star rating and lets see wat it comes to be
