Do you do any renovating to your home?

Twenty years ago I acquired an older home and decided to renew most of it. Twenty years later I'm still at it.
I've removed plaster and lath walls, reinsulated and put gyprock up, changed the bathroom totally and still have baseboards to install. I redid the fir floors with a faux woodgrain finish and that alone took six coats of paint and varnish.
Now I'm starting on the main floor; my fist job is to remove the wallpaper border and repaint in the living room.
But the dining room and kitchen will be the biggest challenge, as it needs new cupboards and electrical work.
I will continue this discussion to add the finished look, but I will add a 'before' picture of the job in one bedroom. What a horrendous job that was! I had to scrape off old linoleum that was glued down with what looked like black gooey glue.
