DOJ Chief Gonzales reportedly offers an additional Php 10k per brgy. captain whose barangay would give a vote turn out of 12-0 in favor of Team Unity. Malacanang and DOJ states such action is not vote-buying. do you actually believe what these guys are saying? do they really think the filipino people is that stupid not to see through that deed? that is obviously an act of bribery! and heck! the justice chief is the one who made the offer!
.
a similar offer came out from Chavit Singson, who this time offers Php 50k for each brgy. cap who does the same 12-0 turn out..
.
what do you think of these actions? isn't this bribery? does Team Unity deserve to win with this methods of campaigning?

Secretary Gonzales should really know how to shut up sometimes. He can really be too tactless sometimes. Did you hear about what he said about Julia Campbell being careless? Can you imagine that? To even blame Julia, the victim! I hope Malacanang does something about this guy.

yeah! and to think he should be the one thinking of the victims. maybe thats his definition of justice. "philippine justice departments cannot protect you so you have to protect yourself. if you become a victim, its your fault for not protecting yourself.." sheezsh! such an a**hole! and i bet malacanang can't do anything to him since he helped in seating pikachu.

It's called "blaming the victim", a tactic employed when one is hard-up defending themselves. But in his case, its just pure reckless opinion.

I think they have two sets of Election Codes: One for the administration and another for the opposition. The one thing that really got me upset about this news is that Comelec Chairman Abalos is siding with the DOJ stating that what Gonzales did was not illegal. Abalos is supposed to be "neutral" but since he's an appointed official all he can do is kiss a*s. GMA's lackeys are going to twist everything they say and do in order to come out the winner in this election. And once again the Filipino people are the biggest losers in this game.

What if, heaven forbid, the elections turn out to be a 12-0 for Team Unity? Where do we go from there and what do we do? The sad thing is that People Power does not work anymore. GMA has such an iron hold on her subordinates that the people's opinions doesn't count for much.

if i am asked to name at least 10 government officials who can make my blood boil, raul gonzales would be one of them. he really is so tactless which leaves people wondering if it's the old age or simply because he's just bad mannered. his remark on ex-president cory aquino and kris aquino, his opinion on julia campbell being careless and now this 10k for barangay captains in iloilo who could deliver a 12-0 vote. that old man i out of his mind!

The DOJ chief offer is nuts! Even if he offered ten times bigger, he knows that 12-0 is next to impossible. He cannot buy us because we are not stupid like him! How i wish to cut his devilish tongue! Everytime he opens his mouth, it makes me sick. No wonder that the files on his table are getting heavy everytime i see him on tv because he is very much busy in politics.

i guess they can make a 12-0 possible. heck! in the 2004 elections they made possible a 1million-vote landslide in favor of pikachu over FPJ in cebu. if they really want that to happen, they'd easily succeed. what else are the additional ballot boxes the comelec bought for? rofl! c",)

They are of course, playing on the technicalities of the law. It is a good way of justifying themselves from their own cowardice/powerlessness against the administration. Rather than hit a brickwall, they would rather hide behind the law and reason out why they shouldn't hit the wall in the first place.
Pacquiao I could more or less understand on giving away insurance cards. The id*ot probably didn't know it was illegal in the first place. You know how ignorant he is on these things.
Chavit, well he's another matter. We all know how this guy lacks morals. Betraying your best friend, bribery, suddenly showing up on a hostage scene without authorization, giving away money as "raffles", giving 500pesos to kids on the bus, crashing his own plane for publicity (not proven, but I wonder), and finally, offering 50k then suddenly backing out when he sighted the media. I doubt if Gloria still wanted to stick up with him after all his mess, but we all know how much utang na loob GMA owes him, right? He holds her on the neck.
Now Gonzales, the one I'm really fuming on. Tackless indeed. The opinions he aired is repeatedly denied and disclaimed even by MalacaƱang. There was a news back then when MalacaƱang warned him against airing his not-so-intelligent views. I think they would also have dropped him if only he isn't so useful to them. After all, he's a complete administration guy, so all forms of misconduct done by its members escape him.

well.. i bet the administration can't get rid of him.. where else would they find a justice secretary so loyal, he'd kiss their a*ses. he can easily protect administration allies with their immoralities by simply blaming it to someone else (the victims).
.
on the pacquiao thing, i bet he's already informed about the illegality of the give aways. but heck! he's under the administration's coat of protection. he can do that if he wants. justice is behind him.
.
and singson.. well.. i think 80% of the filipino nation thinks (and believes) the crash thing was a stunt. how the hell do you get out of a helicopter crash barely bruised?
.
these guys are simply, annoyingly pathetic.. they'd do anything they want coz their in power..

i bet they can't. why? coz they won't! the administration owes a lot on this guy. he's made a hell lot of cases in favor of the administration allies..
..but hey, i like the "sabit" part! he should be hanged off a coconut tree!

Bribery!!! What's new anyway?
Juan needs power, and the other Juan needs money.
Let's face it. Most of the Filipino voting community are way below the poverty line. They need money, and come election time, any candidate who could give them the most win their vote.
And it is not true either that the Juan who did not shell out his own money during his campaign period will not be prone to corruption. Nosireee!!! For the people who made his winning possible will be the ones to dictate him just the same.
Unless all Filipinos become wealthy enough, bribery will always be present, not only during election time.
Eradicate poverty and people will no longer be interested in money.

its really funny how the system works.. hopelessness and poverty are some of the reasons why many don't care about being bribed. to eradicate poverty surely is one good solution. problem is, to eradicate poverty, they have to eradicate corruption first. its the primary reason why poverty is such a huge issue here. haha.. talk about the great circle of corruption..

yes it is bribery to the highest level... heheh.. anyways.. if this is true, i just hope people would just accept the money and still vote for whoever they think will be good as a senator... i mean, Gonzales or whoever who will bribe wont know who will we write on that piece of paper right? lets just hope filipino voters will use their head this time....

well, it would be great if thats the case. but in gonzales' case, he wants to see the turn out first before he gives the bonus. if the barangay doesn't reach the target, he won't give any. making the brgy. captains trade their constituents rights to nothing.

I watched the late-night news the other night about that 10k, the insurance policies and even the lechon (what???) to bribe the masses.. and I was boiling when these people denied that they're vote buying. What do this people think about us? Dumb? My gosh! it's plain obvious that they're buying people's votes, even a 6 year old kid can see that, it's as bright as sunshine! And the fact that the guy is under the "JUSTICE department" makes the matter more sick! Ugh! What kind of thinking is that? I really don't understand, until now, I can't believe they're doing all these in a vulgar manner, as if what they're doing a simple thing like handing over their campaign leaflets... Politics!

haha.. what else can we expect? they are in position. and those who are supposed to stop and indict them are their allies. they can easily dictate what happens to the country.. its starting to become pretty obvious of how the elections would turn out..

secretary gonzales pointed out that this is actually not a vote buying because he is not the one running for the position. on the other hand it is an obvious bribery. the question that will they win with this dirty methods? im sure this wont help. and may the Lord Almighty forgive them.

not vote buying eh.. coz he's not the one running eh.. who ever said that the candidates have to be the one who'd personally give the bribe money? sheezsh.. they're taking us for fools.. they think they can play with us like we're some idiots who doesn't know whats going on..

thats the thing about it. they know exactly the law. thats why its very easy for them to turn things around. i'd really doubt if he can be indicted. he's such an a$$kisser to pikachu.
