Merman found in Malaysia... another hoax?

Actually i was browsing the internet when i came across these pictures (http://40ana.blogspot.com/2006/08/merman-found-in-teluk-bahang.html)
I don't know what will be the reaction from all you, fellow myLot-ers. I don't believe it... it looks like fake. After all, why don't they tell the authorities.And according to this site, the pics were actually from ebay. It does not mean that i don't believe mermaid or merman exist... it just these pics..hmm.. unconvincing..

I personally believe that some people will do any thing for a buck. Mer maids and mermen are fun ideas the same as aliens and swamp creatures. but I don't believe in them. When you look at what Hollywood does for the movies this could very well be such a thing.

It is an awesome creation! Scary but cool looking. While I love the idea of mermaids and mermen, this one looks like a fake to me. The second photo in particular is too white and looks like plaster over some kind of material (maybe canvas). A beautiful piece of work, though!
