The value of our declining money

Yesterday, I went to the store with my daughter and bought two gumballs for 10 cents! I explained to my daughter that I remember when a nickel could get you a whole handful of candy and 25 cents could get you candy for a week.
Does anyone remember what you used to be able to purchase before inflation? Does the war have anything to do with the cost of things now-a-days?
Think about real estate values. I bought my house for $75,000 in the early 80's and it's worth over $250,000 now. What is going to happen in the future when $20 is worth $1... does anyone know? Seems like everyone is going to need a $100,000,000 eventually to survive...

You havent seen anything yet. When the dollar hits bottom its going to be very ugly. What im scared of is the US government starting wars to keep political supremacy in the world.

Gosh I remember when gas was 30 cents a gallon and a candy bar was a nickel.
