My 6 yr old son and his best friend were playing outside. They were having fun throwing rocks back and forth (they are 6). Well, needlkess to say, my son hit his best friend in the head! His head was bleeding like crazy! Oh how horrible I feel! But you know what is great? My son feels even worse. It is wonderful to see him take responsibility for what he did and to feel ashamed. I didn't realize how much of a little man he already is. Does anyone have any similar stories about their children showing grown-up emotions and characters?

Whwn my daughter was in grade school her and her best friend were playing on the tetor totter and my daughter jumped off causing the thing to bounce and sliceing her friends leg open, it required stitches and my daughter cried all evening she felt so bad about it.In the folowing days my daughter did anything she could to help her friend and kept saying to her how sorry she was, Well that was years ago and to this day they are best friends and often when they are together it is brought up in a jokingly way, she will show everyone her scar and say see what she did to me.
