Where do you look while you're walking? Sideways, down, upside, or aimlessly looking somewhere. Practically if you look down it looks a bit strange to me but still I ought to walk that way looking down. Some of my friends while walking look sideways. While my dad asks me to walk straight and look up while walking but it's a habit for me. I look down while walking.
So, where do you look while walking? Prefer sideways, or somewhere else. LOL:P

My mind tends to wander a bit, plus if I am walking, say to school or to the train station, I usually have my iPod on, so I will be listening to music and letting my eyes wander to wherever they may go. I usually do some form of walking around and I like to make sure that I know about everything going on around me... plus, my thoughts seem to get caught up in the sights around me. I work in San Francisco and it's such an awesome city I can't help but let my eyes wander when I am walking around...

I normally look straight while walking. Of course, I would look left and right from time to time too. Always good to observe your surroundings. :P

I look straight and sometimes down when I am walking .When the view is too captivating ,I might look to my sides.I think lot of people look down on the road while walking because that is a rich ground for hunting coins ,lol.Just kidding.Perhaps with age balance is also a factor and looking down helps more than looking straight.

Well I am a very clumsy, accident prone person. Therefore I always walk looking down to make sure I'm not going to step in a hole, trip, or something of the like. I only look up when I see someone coming towards me.

I walk a lot and the best thing to do is walk tall and confident! That way you are less likely to look like a target.
Here is a copy and paste of part of an article about this very matter....
...Walk with confidence
Walk with confidence and purpose when you're out solo. Keep your head up and don't be afraid to make eye contact with those you pass. Walk at a steady pace and walk facing traffic to keep yourself visible. If you get lost, don't wander aimlessly. Keep your pace steady and head for the nearest store or restaurant to ask for directions.
...Trust your gut
When out alone at night, your instincts are your best friend. If you are worried someone is following you, turn around. Let the person know you're aware of their presence. Don't head straight for your car or home, but go to a nearby store or restaurant, somewhere public and safe.
Good luck and happy walking!

Yup, but that's a bit strange if you're walking alone. Right???

Mostly I walk looking straight ahead of me, but I have been known to look at my feet, and sometimes be starring up at the sky while walking. Really it depends on the day and mood I am feeling at the time.
I don't know why or how it became a thing for me, but I usually look up at the sky while I am trying to think things out. I guess I figure the answer is going to pop right out in big bold letters in the sky..haha. :P I look down at the my feet when I feeling sad, and usually walk a bit slower than normal (faster that snail, not really a turtle pace either). Is there such a thing as medium-slow? lol

That depends on the situation. If I'm going to run into my crush, I bow my head down low just so he wouldn't see me. It's as if I have this invisible cloak when I do, which is nothing much, cuz I still hear some snickerings and lots of buzz around where I walk. I hate it. But when I have to meet those jerks, I wear my chin up and walk straight like a model, which disgust them, anyway. Lol

I usually look downwards and collect all the change as I go along lol. Well I was told that if I pick them up it's blessings lol. I find it easier not to get distracted too much and I have always bee a social misfit so it could also be part of a complex of mine, not feeling part of my surroundings as such as a child.

i always look straight when walking. i don't want to be blamed when i accidentally bump someone along the way because i am not looking at my way. i sometimes look at my right or left sides but with side glances, or unless i am looking for something or someone.

I usually look around when I'm walking. If I'm not looking all around then I'm looking down.

It really depends on where I'm walking. If I'm going for a long or leisurly(sp?) walk then I'll usually look all around me, just observing. If I'm walking to take the trash out or something like that then I'll usually look down. Also depends on what mood I'm in at the time. ***In whichever way a person looks when walking it is very important to look down every once in a while, cause hitting the concrete doesn't feel too good lol. :p

I don't know whether I am just nosey or not (let's call it curious) but I look all over. I'll look down at the ground, side to side, up, staright ahead, occasionally I look behind.
I just like to see what's going on. I don't want to miss out on anything that I might see!
