How do you heal from a broken heart?

My fiance and I broke up a couple days ago after I received an email from his wife saying that not only was he married but that he had 4 high-school aged children and was 8 years older than he made me believe he was.
He was the first man I ever truly loved and finding that out hurt so badly. How do you heal from a broken heart?

I am truly sorry you are having to experience this type of situation. His wife and children must be surprised as well. You need to tell yourself to be strong, as he is probably going to come sniffing around again, begging forgiveness and saying how it was you he loved, he just couldn't leave her, yada yada yada. You will need to be strong even though your heart will want to break and give in. If he was this deceptive, you would never be able to trust a man like that. To heal, distance yourself from the whole situation. Treat yourself to days with friends, shopping, etc whatever it is you enjoy. The only thing that can heal a broken heart is time. Give yourself time to heal, you'll be over it and ready to move on before you know it.
