How much does it cost (average) to take a US driver license? how does it work? Is there a practical test? What is the best Traffic School in Miami?

I was born and raised in Florida and lived many years in Miami, Hialeah to be exact. I am going to leave a link for the Florida DMV New License Application page to give you a better idea. The fee is $20 and if you currently hold a drivers license from another state or country, you may only have to take the hearing/vision test. Check the website I left below for all the details. http://www.dmv.org/fl-florida/apply-license.php

Well for Drivers Ed Class it cost me 100 Dollars, to take the Drivers Ed driving lessons... And pass a written test. Then it cost 100 dollars for my temporary drivers permit. This is the temporarily permit to use to practice driving... until you take the final drivers test for your drivers licence. And well. I have not made it further past this point.. For the Cost of the Final Licence, and to pass the fine Drivers Ed instruction test. I am in Wisconsin, USA. The prices were in 1996, and 1999... and then then I am not sure the price of reknewing that temps permit... as my Dad was nice enough to pay it for me... - DNatureofDTrain

The cost's an test's vary on a state by state basis. Where I live it costs me about $25 to renew my drivers license that also has a motorcycle endorsement. Most states (but not all) require a vision test when you renew your license. When you a renew a license, normally you just fill out the paperwork, pay the fee, get fingerprinted and have a new picture taken. When you first get your license you usually have to take a written test and a driving test. The driving test is much more difficult in some states compared to others. California is a prime example. If you get an endorsement like I did to drive motorcycles legally, I had to take a seperate written and driving test for that as well. Thankfully the proctor wasn't on the back of the bike, but rather just gave me a directions so she could observe. Hope that answers some of your questions. Minnie Mouse is HOT! filmbuff
