Idling Cars

Where I live you constantly see cars left running. They're empty, and the owner is usually in a grocery store, coffee shop etc. It's pretty surprising to me because I just moved from Toronto where it's illegal to leave your car idling for more than 3 minutes unless it's below a certain temperature. Not to mention that there were a few cars that had been stolen while they were warming up in someones driveway. Here that doesn't seem to be a problem.
Would you leave your car idling?

I think it should be banned as well. There's no excuse for it really. I can understand if you're warming your car in the middle of winter, but here you see it in the summer as well. Just so they don't have to be bothered starting it again I guess.

I wouldn't, I live in a warm climate so I don't need to warm it up and it's a new car so it doesn't need to warm up before I drive it. I used to have my car sit idle in the mornings while I scraped ice off of the windows in one state I lived in. It's not that hard to take the keys out, do my business, and restart the car.
