Would you buy Playstation 3 just because of the release of Grand Theft Auto 4?

I've finished GTA vice city stories too but it was a small city so i'm eagerly waiting for GTA IV to come out. God of war 2 was another masterpiece creation i really enjoyed the game. We can only imagine how superior the graphic qualities will be for these games on the next gen consoles. Ohhhhhhh i can't wait for these to be released.

Oh wow, I can't wait for both of those. I just finished playing GTA vice city stories, and now God of War 2, and I'm just trying to imagine how fabulous it would be to have both of those in superior graphic qualities of the next gen consoles.

I have never played the God of War games, I am making a list of games I will want to try at some point, just kind of doing this one game at a time. Thanks for the information.

Well as of now, you don't have to upgrade your Xbox, I think it is released for whatever Xbox is out there. But if you use playstation2 you won't be able to get the game, until they either eventually release it later for the ps2, or you upgrade to ps3. As of now the only releases available are for ps3, and Xbox. I don't know what the 360 is. I am a fan of the GTA games, never played final fantasy but I have heard it is a good game, and that different ones are better than others. I just can't see buying ps3 just to get this one game. I can wait. or do with out.

Oh wow, I am so honored by that. Well, personally I think I'm first gonna opt for the 360, and like you said it is better to get every ounce that we can squeeze out of our now "old" ps2, and wait till the prices go down, plus there are still hundreds of games I haven't played on the ps2 yet, so I'll just try those out. My ps2 will never be obsolete for me. If I don't get my 360 from the site I'm registered at for free, then I'll probably buy one but wait till the end of the year, so that prices are down. Or I'll wait for the summer electronics sale that we usually have here.

Well I agree that now that the ps3 is out, that you need to upgrade to the newer version, but like when they made the transition from playstation to ps2, there was time, before you had to make the purchase, time for the price to go down as well. So that is kind of where I am at. Also gives them time to work out any kinks, since usually the new stuff has a few quirks that they don't have worked out yet, either in the game, or in the system. I am only now getting more interested in games, for this reason I suppose I am going to be slow to purchase. But thats me.

I will just wait for your reviews on everything, that way I will know what to avoid, and what is worth the effort game wise. I have learned to trust your opinion and knowledge on games.

Well yes the various versions of the GTA are similiar and I suppose that is why some buy it and some dislike it. I do enjoy the story lines they create, I have never played the first GTA game I started with GTA3. I have found some differences within the games and cities, and just in general enjoy them. I think it would be interesting if Rockstar games created something for highlander.

LOL well if they want to throw a ps3 away they can throw it away to me. It always amazes me at the prices of some of these things. I don't know about Xbox, I don't know what the differences are between Wii, Xbox 360, or PS3, I am not that into games I suppose to have found out. I actually have friends who have both the Wii, the Xbox, and I am not positive but I think they also have playstation, that just doesn't make sense to me, but they are a gadget happy kind of family and with five kids and tv's in so many rooms I suppose they can hook them up all over the place. But I do understand that the time I got my ps2, the price was higher, and it is not something I would have bought, nor is it even something I would have asked for. It was just something that someone I knew just up and gave to me, LOL I actually was more pleased with the sewing machine than the playstation 2 at the time. LOL

I hadn't heard that about the woman, the only clip I saw of this one, showed a man seems like it is dealing with someone who is coming to 'land of opportunity" only to find that things are not that easy. I am looking forward to but not impatient for it, which surprises me. LOL I thought I would be, I am looking forward to seeing the graphics on this, it is supposed to be very much improved but will be a while before I get ps3

Sorry you were disappointed. I have never considered upgrading for a game, I don't think I would. For me it just doesn't make sense. Yes I enjoy the games. I enjoy playing them, I just can't see spending a huge sum of money for something along those lines.

As far as I know if he uses the Xbox version he can get the game. It is only those who have been playing using playstation2 who will have to either get the Xbox, or get Playstation3. But the game can be preordered on Amazon.com, where you can see a promo scene of the game. It is due to be released in October 2007.
