i told someone that an omnipotent god cannot have attraction in his love because that would mean he needs or wants, so he is not perfect. Then, he told me that gods love does not include attraction.
is this possible?
can you give an example of love without attraction?

What does omnipotence have to do with perfection? I fail to see how the two are mutually exclusive. If your argument, instead, were that a perfect being doesn't have any need to want or has attained all it needs and wants so neither exist for it anymore, well, okay. And supposing one of those needs/wants they have no use for is power because they are all-powerful, well... that's still quite a stretch. What's perfect, after all? And who's to say what we define as perfection really is, because ideals vary from person to person.
Sorry, my response is sort of scattered and not very well thought out. Still, though, I don't agree that being all powerful is anything to do with perfection. One can exist without the other, and vice versa.

dont worry about it, i understand where your coming from...
lets define the 2:
A) perfect: free from defects or complete
B) omnipotence: All powerful, all knowing, can do all.
now the question is, can an omnipotent god be imperfect? of course not, because he knows all.
so, if B is present, then A is also present.
god does not have any defects, and god is not incomplete, because if god was, he would not be omnipotent.
thats the relation.

in my case, it involves marraige, when i met
my now husband, i was not attracted to him
but the more i got to know him and the way he treated me, the more i iked him.. he showed me
enough love for two people, i had another guy i could have picked over him but i chose to marry him
because i knew the other guy that i was interested in
but i chose my husband because i knew the ther guy would not stick around when everything fell to peices
and the bad came out as it will with any relationship, and we have had our problems and sometimes i and he wish we had waited, but we cant
leave each. other we have tryed and now i am so attrracted and attached to my husband that when he's gone i miss him dearly.. i may cut up and joke about him
but when it comes down to it, we both love each other very much so as they say beauty is in the
eye of the beholder and beauty is only skin deep
i agree with that... he has been there thru thick and thin for me....

The only love I know that has no attraction is the love of a family member. Mom,Dad, sister, brother, etc.Even a beloved pet, there's no attraction there. Perfect beings can need or want.and certain G-ds do love. Look at Zeus and Hera. They are G-ds that love with attraction. That doesn't make them lesser G-ds.
