do you believe that death is just a dreamless sleep?

my faith has led me to believe that when we die , we are asleep untill judgement day.

Yes this is what I believe. When I was young it was scarier that it is now. Maybe life is wearing me down a bit. My belief is based on rationality. I simply see no evidence that any kind of afterlife (be it ghost, heaven, reincarnation, zombie, whatever) exists. Even if it did, I can't think of a single example of afterlife given by the various pseudosciences or religions that I would want to participate in.

I love your thought-provoking discussions fight! The first thing that comes to my mind when reading your question is this...have you ever seen roadkill? A little bunny bounding merrily across the highway with a little "bunny-like smile" on his face as he heads toward some tastier fields on the other side...then suddenly, a car speeds by...SMUCK! No more little bunny, just a lifeless little body whose last thought was happy and he is still smiling. As he lay there taking his last little breath he wasn't thinking, "CRUD, I really wish I would have learned what that God thing was all about before now". :)
