Are manners and politness gone for good?

Recently I went on a trip to Disney World. We had saved up forever and believe me it was worth every penny!
My problem is you have to ride Disney busses to get from the hotel to the parks. Several times the busses were so packed that people were standing in the aisles.
Men were seated right in front of standing older women and children. Now I don't expect them to give me a seat but I do expect us to take care of our elders and children. Kids were flying all over the bus because they were too short to reach the hanging straps.
When did manners go out the window?
Am I just old fashioned?

I think with tons of people manners and politness has gone out the window for good. People just don't seem to care anymore or show respect. If I would have been on that bus I would have said something to the men who were just sitting there while older womnn and small children are standing there. I don't put up or deal with people like that.

I did mention something but the men just glanced away and would not make eye contact. The bus drivers should also have to make an announcement but I guess you can't force people to be polite.
