Do you shop at payless?

Do you shop for shoes at payless? I am going to get my boys shoes there tomorrow, because they currently have one of their BOGO sales. I love Payless, and I prefer to shop for my own shoes there as well. Sometimes they really have great collection, and people often ask me where I get my shoes. When I tell them I got them at payless they often frown. I think this is insane. I know that I walk down my shoes in about six months to a year, so I definitely cannot go and buy a 100$ pair of shoes, when I can get sandals and shoes for both my boys and myself at Payless for the same amount of money. Do you shop at Payless? Why, why not? Or are you one of the ones who frown when you hear the name?

I love Payless! I always buy my shoes there and always when it is bogo! I always get compliments on my shoes too. Isn't it funny! Some people stereotype different stores because they are less expensive. As for my kids, I usually don't shop to payless for my boys because they play sports and need the better made shoes like NIKE. If my boys need sandles or dress shoes, it is always payless and my daughters shoes also come from payless.

I know! I remember last month this lady in my church complimented my shoes and asked where I got them because she wanted a pair. I told her Payless, and her face just fell. She said, "I GUESS they have some good shoes now and then." Oh, brother!

That is seriously funny:) I did not know that there were other payless fanatics like me out there. When I was in college, I got these really great dress shoes (at a BOGO sale of course), and I just loved it, whenever one of the students (in their 100$ shoes) asked me, where I had found them.

I've had only one pair of shoes from there and while they were affordable they didn't last very long, comparatively speaking. As the saying goes, you get what you pay for. That's not to say they don't have some good shoes. They do.

I have shoes that I bought at Payless that have lasted 7 years. I've done nothing to them, worn them often, and they are still going. They are of good quality, perhaps it is how we treat the shoes that dictates how long they last.

Yes, I actually think that Payless shoes are good quality, especially when you look at the addordable prices. The Payless shoes that I have last just as long as any "brand" shoes I have ever bought. My problem is that I walk very hard, and my heels usually get worn down from this pretty quick. I therefore feel that it is a waste of my money to buy the expensive shoes, when I wear them down so quickly. Of course as you already mention, it seems like there are always some poor quality shoes amongst the good once, but I think they are pretty easy to pick out.

Walmart has some nice shoes, and I can get flip flops there, but no real shoes. For some reason they don't have my size. : (

I DO like payless, they generally have a good selection and a vast variety of sizes. Unfortunately it is a 100 mile round trip for us to go to the nearest payless. bummer. but when we have the opportunity we do go. with gas going up so much our trips are few and far between and we make sure we do several other things on the way to make it more worthwhile for the gas money spent. I always liked that payless gives your infant his first pair of shoes.

I am so sorry to hear that Payless is so far away. This is how I feel about Ikea and H & M, they are hundreds of miles away, but fortunately Ikea is opening up its first South Florida store about 45 minutes away from us this fall.

I buy a lot of my daughters shoes here cause she is growing so much. I love that they have airwalks there now so I will pick up a few things now and then from here. I do like that they sell crocs and have had some really cute tennis shoes here lately. They do have a pretty good selection of little kids shoes. My daughter loves going into this store to try on shoes.

I actually used to think that they had a bad selection, but I would say that they have really improved their image over the last five years. I really find some great shoes for my boys in their, and I love that they are also carrying a few "brand" names now as well - at reasonable prices. Today I went into Sears with my 1 year old son, and the lady at the shoe department complimented my son's sandals. You should have seen her face, when I told her that I got them at payless.

Sears still thinks of itself as an 'it' store, but it has gone way down in these past 10 years.

I usually do not shop at payless because I can't find shoes there that work with my feet. I can't buy shoes with nylon inside of them, they just make my feet sweat too much and it's just not worth it. What I do get from there are sandels or little cute flip flops, but nothing more. I use to get shoes from payless, but like you said, you have to replace them in 6 months or so. I prefer to pay a little more and have better shoes that will last me a few years. That's what i've found that works for me - and I WEAR my shoes, i'm not a person who has a whole bunch of shoes and give my shoes a 'break'. I'll probably buy my lo's shoes there, since they are inexpensive and will be changing them often, since they grow out of them so quickly. And NO, I don't frown when I hear Payless...i'm jealous because I can't wear those shoes.

I just got new shoes for my kids at Payless yesterday. My oldest is 4 1/2 and even at this age, he seems to be going up a number one or twice a year. My youngest just started walking, and he needs the bendable sole shoes, and I was able to find some as well. I bought two pair of sandals, and two pair of sneakers for 40$, which I thought was a very good deal.

That was a great deal. Like I mentioned, once my lo starts needing shoes, i'm going there. They have great deals, and in turn it doesn't hurt as much to buy new shoes every couple of months. There is NO way i would spend $60 on baby shoes, it's a waste of money to me. However, i have friends that do send that crazy amount on children's shoes and they only wear them a few times.

Yes...we shop at payless...I love that store. I even go in there just to look and see what new shoes and purses etc they have in ...even if I am not buying at the time. I think that you can definitely save money...and those who frown on it..well they won't be saving that money...you will...

It is useful when shopping for shoes to have a Buy One Get One free deal because that way you get two shoes and if you are cunning, you might get a pair!! haha Happy shopping!!

I sometimes buy shoes from Payless. I think they have really cute flip flops! Last year I think at one time I bought 4 pairs of really cute flip flops from them. I don't think there's anything wrong with buying shoes from payless. If people frown at that then you should frown at the fact that they spend a ridiculous amount of money on shoes that they are just going to wear out anyways! Heck, I've evne boughten shoes from Walmart!

I sure do. I always shop there for shoes they have good deals. I don't think it's worth buying a 100.00 shoes and you can find it cheaper and compare to the one that are high.

I adore Payless! I shop there because they have low prices and some of the shoes are very stylish. There is nothing wrong with shopping at discount stores and getting great deals in my opinion.

I love shopping at Payless! I guess it's the way my mom raised me when I was little. I like to shop being more frugal than not. And, honestly, a lot of my friends, who only shop for shoes at the more expensive department stores and specialty stores always ask me where I got such cute shoes! Of course, I tell them. But, most of the time, they think I'm lying and I don't really want to tell them. Oh, well...too bad for them. But, every kind of shoe, except for athletic shoes for me, last longer with Payless and are so much cheaper.

I know, it really depends on their collection. A couple of years ago, I found my favorite shoes their, and they carried them for four seasons, and then I have not found that style since. Well, actually I did find a similar pair in pearl for my wedding. I was in Europe, and I was looking at wedding shoes, and the cheapest ones I liked cost about $300 dollars, which is not that crazy over there. Then I found these 14$ shoes at the payless online site, and I knew exactly what size to get them in. I got them sent to the local payless store near my fiance, so he picked them up and brought them to me. What a great savings!! ....and the shoes were a perfect fit, and the were a perfect match to my wedding dress.

Oh, I love shopping at payless! Their shoes are such a great deal especially when you catch a BOGO deal. Plus I have two right near me so I can check them both out if one doesn't carry any styles I'm interested in. PLus, their internet site is great. They carry a lot there that they don't have in store and if you get it shipped to the store shipping is free!

I love to shop at Payless Shoesource! I especially love it when they have buy one get one half price sales going on. They often have some really cute shoes at a clearance price too. I especially loved the airwalk flip flops I bought there last year. I hope they have them again this year!

I shop at payless. I like to go there to buy cute sandals for the summer. There are so many and they are cheap. I like it when they have buy one get one 1/2 off sales. Those are pretty rare though. I think the people you know frown because they're not a brand name. Who cares if it's a brand name as long as they are cute, comfortable and cheap? Even if I had the money I would probably go to payless. I would be able to buy lots more sandals there for the price of one pair at a department store. I have a couple pairs of sandals that I've had for 2 years. So, they do last. Some people think they don't but they really do.

People can be shoe snobs! LOL Payless is pretty much the only place I buy shoes from because they are affordable, but oh so stylish! I went there this past week because of the BOGO sale and got a pair of shoes and a purse. Since it is getting ready to be summer I figured it would be prudent to buy a white purse. With the buy one get one half off, I felt financially free to do that.

I love Payless. Not just for my kids, but for me as well. First off, other than the great prices, I've found that their shoes last longer not just with me but with the kids too. Especially during the summer when they play more often outside and play rougher. I've got shoes that I bought for myself 2 and 3 years ago, and you'd never guess how long I've had them or where I got them. Payless is awsome. Trust me, you won't regret the purchase. Besides with the gas prices the way they are, you'll be thankful that you're getting a deal somewhere.

I used to buy shoes at Payless, but recently I haven't seen any really cute pairs of shoes there so I haven't bought any from them in a while. I do think their buy one get one or BOGO is great and can really save you a lot of money if you are a shoe addict like me.
