There are several remedies for cough. Warm a glass of milk, stir in turmeric powder and honey. You could also have a warm glass of milk with a tablespoon of pure ghee (milk fat), if you can find it, it really works. Try fomentation too - If you have eucalyptus oil, add a few drops of that to the water. Just boil the water and inhale the steam. Let the steam warm your chest too, and see if that brings you any relief - it usually does. A tea made by boiling fenugreek seeds also helps to reduce phelgm.

I have had a head and chest cold for about a week now and i think i'm over the worst of it. I had to take acetaminophen to kill the fever and i took benylin cough syrup to soothe my sore throut, but nothing else. I also drink a lot of liquids. I hope you can find some thing that will help you? If not, practice your coughing until it sounds just right! LOL! Take care Anjoks.

Mix ginger juice with honey in equal quantities and take about a teaspoon of it several times a day. If you make this concoction every morning and take it on an empty stomach, it also keeps colds and coughs at bay, and you'll find yourself falling sick with these ailments much lesser. In case of dry cough, simply chop a piece of ginger, and sprikle some salt on it and chew

what i do is i drink lots of water, gargle with listerine every night and take ascorbic acid 2 times a day for 1 week or until the cough disappears. But if your cough is persistent, boil 1 or 2 tablespoons of ginger with water, let it cool then drink it. This would surely cure your cough

I had a cough for five weeks before I finally went to the doctor. It turned out there was no infection in my lungs nor was their much fluid. I was just having terribel allergies as everything decided to bloom at once, my dogs are shedding their winter coats, the dust and smoke from the open fires was bugging me...just a big combination of things and my lungs were becoming very irritated and hypersensitive. They ended up giving me an antihistimine and an inhaler which has helped somewhat but not completely. The other thing that eases it a bit is adding eucalyptus oil to a humidifier. I have this constant irritating tickle and that seems to soothe it a bit.

Ey there, i'm feeling so much better now. Thanked heavens. . . Good for you for finally consulting a doctor before it worsen. My mom always give me sermon for not going to the doctor, i'm kind of hard-headed you know. If its still tolerable there's no way i'll go see one. . I've heard of the good effect of eucalyptus oil, i'll go try that one out when i have a cough again. LOL (",)
