A teacher should be patient, disciplined, approachable, righteous, and of course smart.

There are several qualities that a teacher must have, to name a few: a good teacher should have master the subject well because students believe teachers are walking libraries, must be responsible, have a very effective means of communicating to students the subject matter but of course to top them all, a very,.. very and truly patient individual.

I think the qualities of a teacher are: - be friendly and talk with the kids when they need to, have the eyes opened for pupil's changes, capable of taught discipline without being to much hard. Be flexible and try to hunderstand each pupil in their own differences. Sometimes it's more important to teach social behaviors than the curriculum.

A good teacher is one who loves to teach and who makes it as his/her vocation. .If a teacher is not committed to the teaching profession, she/will always do a lousy job; does not update herself/himself to "sharpen the saw". In addition to professional preparation, a good teacher should possess personal characteristics such as above average communication skills, intelligence, patience, understanding of child development, can get along with others, adaptable, forward-looking, proactive, and should be loving especially if teaching little kids.

I think you need to be organized, flexible, compassionate, well versed in your subject, and be able to have a relationship with your students- not a freindship.

A good teach is someone that is very flexible, willing to change, has more than one approach to any subject, show that they are human and make mistakes too (and thats okay), have structure but also have fun. What I have seen is that if the students respect the teacher, the teacher will get more out of the students and it takes all those things I mentioned to get respect. If you dont have respect from the students its very hard to get them to learn because you do not have control.

It only takes a couple of things to be a good teacher and I believe the most important thing is to care about your students. of course, they must also be smart and they have to be patient.
