Am I doing the right Thing?

I have been trying to lose weights lately as i have gain a bit..i'm not really comfortable about it since i was so slim before or say i slimmed down during the first year of my employment after graduation. I've started gaining weights after two years of my recent employment and frankly speaking i hate it but my mom is happy about it...hehehe... that's the irony of it. Anyway, i used not to eat rice during breakfast but since my colleagues often passes by my office every morning and asked me to join in their breakfast morning sessions i have started eating heavy meals during breakfast. Most would not believe that the reason i gained was because of that...but i think it is closely related to that because even before lunch comes, i can still feel that i am still full but since i am prone to hyper-acidity i really have to eat on time... Then now, i am trying to do some afternoon walks for an hour in the park, dunno if it can help me or might just tire me...hehehe i have this so much desire to lose weights and yet i cannot avoid eating much in the morning... and just awhile ago, i felt some pains over my back..i have been walking and jogging for a week now, but only awhile ago that i felt that kind of pains..i had a hard time tolerating the pains that i have stopped walking and end up myself here in the cafe typing for mylot...hehehe

i guess everybody will tell you something or the other but what i will tell you is from my personnal experience take 1 glass of water add a full lemon with some honey and drink it after your lunch or the heaviest meal of the day , after 15 days you will notice he change i bet.

I understand your concern about losing wweight! You're still single, right? You really have to at least just shed off a few pounds only. . walking and jogging will do wonders, plus cut off on rice and carbohydrates. Avoid cola drinks and concentrate on water and juices. Sweets are also a no, no. . Next time you hit the canteen with your colleagues, be conscious of what you eat and the quantity. . .always remember that cutting on carbohydrates, etc. will do wonders. Your mother may just be concerned, thinking that dieting does not help but worsen your hyperacidity. . but you can always lose weight without starving yourself. Good luck!

thanks for the advice psyche49f.... i don't eat much sweets but i cannot avoid putting a lot of sugars over my coffee, lolz.... its only during sundays that i don't drink coffees...and with regards to the foods in the canteen, i don't eat much coz the servings are either too little or too expensive..hehehehe... again, thanks for the advice.. i'll try to cut down with my carbo hopefully soon...hehehe

i have the same problem. onceyou gain weight its really hard to lose them. so i try to exercise everyday. i go for a jog and it helps. exercising keeps me fit and i dont experience any back problems.
