Technology is a wonderful thing: it provides us with labour and time-saving devices which allow us to maximise the short time we have here. Media tech is an amazing tool for communications as well as the perfect way to brainwash people en mass.
If you've never learned how to live without it then you could be in the poop if the power goes down. It does seem that while it allows things to run smoothly; we ( as a society) are a little too hooked on it and should we lose that power then we are extremely vulnerable. Nearly every business is computer dependant now so as long as the power's there it's OK. It does seem a little nuts not to have some form of back-up though.

yeah its a wonderfull thing.. but the thing is.. we're kinda too over-dependant on it.. at least some of us.
Imagine back in the old times when there was no television or at least color-tv! all the cartoones tv shows.. movies
now we're very dependant on technology for our entertainment.. back then kids always improvise on coming up wif games and stuff to keep themselves amused or have fun.. but now lotsa them juz sit on the couch n watch the tube or play their PSP/PS2/XBOX

I can guarantee we all are becoming too dependant on Technology unlike back when I was growing up before Computers and Windows. I was like 31 yrs. old when Windows 95 came out, and look at where Windows is today.

Yes, we cannot spend a single day without drinking water from a purifier, washing n cleaning without washing machine, vaccuum cleaner and dish washer. We prefer using mobile n internet to keep in touch with our dear ones rather than traditional messaging systems. To land up on some high floor of a high rise building we depend on lifts.

Technology is so "Got to have it", it almost a life line for some, work, play, social, and entertainment. I for one am amazed at the need for it because, I, LOL, would have a fit if someone told me I couldn't get on it tomorrow.

I think technology is a wonderful thing to have but I also feel that we are very dependant on it. Everytime I go to the store to look for simple toys for my son, it seems like all they have is stuff that requires batteries. I hardly remember many of the toys I grew up on requiring batteries, just imagination. Sadly, we are stuck in a technology generation that's growing bigger by the day.

To speak about technology let's see what it is.
Science is the formal process of investigating natural phenomena. Scientists are researchers who study and document these fundamental principles.
Engineering is the formal process of designing and building tools to exploit natural phenomena for a practical means. Engineers work within the constraints of natural laws and societal needs to create technology.
Technology is the result of these two processes. It usually embodies the physical result, such as a device or machine which was designed by engineers (and/or scientists).
Typically, a person must hold an academic degree to be called a scientist or engineer (though in exceptional cases, or in some historical cases, this is not always true). Some governments restrict these titles further by licensing professional engineers.
