Why the poor more than the rich believe God?

The rich believe in themselves. They got to where there were by being hardworking and smart. The poor don't have some of the important tips or discipline of becoming rich. They turn to god for help because that's all they got to hope for. I do believe that being able to live comfortably isn't that unachievable if you are discipline enough in your expenses.

I have abserved that too and I guess that people seem to turn for help only when in need...many people go to churches or temples to pray for something and very rarely you will see someone go to simply thank God for what they have. I feel poor people need hope more then anything else as without hope there would be nothing to live for...and beliving in a super power makes life easier - this of ocurse is just my opinion.
