Yeah, I still like playing Monopoly and Risk. The "Scene It" games are a lot of fun to. Apples to Apples has been our favorite lately.

We do still play board games here, although not nearly as much as I would like. I think board games are a great way to have some family time, turn off the tv and get them away from the computer or video games.
We have NHL Original Six Hockey Monopoly that we play once in a while and Battleship. My son and I will play card games often too.

I definately miss sitting around the table playing games. it used to be a family sunday ritual. After church we would come home, eat dinner, clean up and all gather around the kitchen table for a board game. It was my favorite part of the day. Then we would go to the store for ice cream with my grandfather. It was such fun. Too bad we all had to grow up. The reason we stopped playing was not because of computers but because everyone grew up and got their own lives. Most people are too busy now to play board games.

You are indeed right! I miss those board games (Scrabble/Boggles/Monopoly/Pictunary/Millionare etc. This games usually bonds friends and families together.Though i dont have the luxury of TIME, i will try to play it once more. Thanks for that, you reminded me of how much i love playing board games.
Since computer technology is vast advancing, online games and playstations have spread all over the country and the world. I hope there would be more who promotes returning the board games to kids, teens, singles, and adults. :)

My friend's and I used to go out a lot and hang out late and party on the weekends. But, when I got pregnant we I obviously couldn't do that anymore. So, we turned to board games! We used to get together on a Friday night and play some. I had a bunch sitting in the closet collecting dust and we pulled them out and tried a new one every week. Monopoly didn't go too well but we LOVED Cranium. Oh, it was hilarious to play and we all had a really good time.

I think I'm one of those who still enjoy playing boardgames and card gards (like solitaire). Whenever I'm bored I usually play cards because it's more fun and relaxing. And playing with this "conventional" games are one of the ways to get bonded with family and friends more at home
