What would you do with a weekend alone?

I mean absolutely alone. No kids, no significant other, nobody. I'm taking our 3 kids away for the weekend with my sister and my mom, and that leaves hubby all alone. He only has to work a half day Saturday so he's going to have a lot of free time and quiet, ( I'm slightly jeolous.) So I asked him what his plans were and he said "Be bored out of my mind". He'll probably drink beer and play video games all weekend. I have a list of stuff that could be done around the house, but I don't think that will fly with him. I offered to make some goodies before I leave and he can have the guys over for a poker game, an all nighter with no interruptions or worries about having to get up with the kids in the morning, he said he wasn't all that interested. ANyway, I know what I'd do with a weekend alone, I'd like to know what you would do!

well that would depend if it was summer or winter... if it was in the winter i would probably go for a walk and at night watch movies confortably in the coach, drinking a hot coco, just enjoying time alone, just enjoying myself... If it was in the summer well... i wouldn't know where to start... but probably all day in the beach, swimming, relaxing, enjoying the sun and the day...

Starting this Tuesday, I will be home alone, except for my dog and bird, for two weeks. My partner is going to New York for a visit with her family and friends. I plan on painting three rooms and doing some work outside in the yard, uninterrupted. I can't do these things when she is here, because I have to be her driver when she has her various appointments. I hope to get a lot accomplished. I also have some movies coming from Blockbuster that she ordinarily wouldn't watch. She likes the comedies, as do I, but sometimes I like sports and action movies. PEACE

I did chuckle at the idea of a list of things for your other half to do "if he got bored" during his free weekend! What would I do? I'd have myself a home-made spa weekend. I'd unplug the phones and tv, make sure I had plenty of treats at home and would then do nothing except pamper myself and read read READ!!!! Sounds heavenly ...

Welcome to myLot! You sound like you have it all figured out. I say I'd relax and lounge all weekend but I know I'd end up cleaning out closets and stuff, I can never sit still.

I live with my mother and we are on (dial-up), so since she wants the phone free from 10am to 11pm, (I can't be on the computer durring that time), if she was gone for the weekend, I'd happily be on the computer all day and night long!

I would probably start by catching up on sleep Then order a good pizza and eat in front of the tv or the computer ... or both Might think about a very long bath while listening to the music I also would probably skip out and shop around - but no grocery if possible! - just looking around ... clothes , shoes .... take my time

I'm like your hubby~ I'd be bored out of my mind. I like being home with my kids. I'll tell you, about a decade ago I had a ton of weekends to myself- my ex would take our son every other weekend and those were the loneliest weekends of my life. I'd go out Fri and Sat nights but I'd raelly just be waiting for Sunday afternoon to roll around. I woudln't mind one afternoon to myself to go to the mall without the kids, but that's about it!

My husband is taking the kids away for the day Saturday so I am excited about having the house to myself =) I will probably watch some TV-whatever I want to-no SpongeBob!!! I will probably get on the computer and play around on myLot for awhile and try to get my earnings up, I will go grab myself some lunch and eat it in peace and quiet. And most likely clean a little bit, I can't seem to relax and enjoy the quiet if the house is dirty =)

Oh what a glorious thought....well, for a day or so anyway, LOL......I would probably try to sleep in....but would not be able to and would spend the lack of intrussion....cleaning house....I could clean carpets, wash walls, and rearrange furniture without having to stop and make meals....watch Spongebob....or attempt to stay out of the front of the television because I would be all alone... Makes me want to send my household away for a few days...the spring cleaning I do....could be done in 3-4 days instead of 2 weeks. Does not sound like much fun....I know...but that is what I would do....then when they returned; we could take the camper and boat to the river and stay for about a week; I could rest and have fun with them..... Ummmmm....wonder where I could sent them?????......

I always play computer in the weekend if I don't go anywhere. So, I don't bother if I have to have a weekend alone. Maybe no one in my home.. but I have my friends in internet. So I'll never be alone. Eventhough, no body online in MSN or Yahoo, I still can play game online, post in forums, and write a blog. I don't spend much time with my family in holidays, because I always play computer, except I go to mall or have dinner with my family. So, I generally to be alone.. ^^

I would be very excited if I am left alone at home for one weekend because such chance is rare for me as I forever have someone together with me at weekend, my mum or my hub. They are nice people though, but with any other people at home, I always feel not very free to do whatever I like and I have to take other people in account, so I can't arrange my time freely. If I happened to have such oppotunity, I would read aloud, sing aloud, switch the channels as soon as I like without considering other's need. I would decide when to eat, what to eat ...That's a nice thing to feel I have a free soul then.

It`s a good time to spoil yourself with some cosmetic procedures without to be annoyed. To read a book. To do something what pleases you and you have no need to share it with anybody else. To relax. Everybody needs his moments allone :-)

OK what is that? lol I work full-time, I am a wife, mother. I home school. If I had the house to myself, I would enjoy it for the first five minutes then be bored out of my skull. I wouldn't know what to do with myself. I can't think of a thing I would do except watch tv, even then it gets boring because, I don't watch the shows that I was used to watching. I had something like that happen and I was so bored. Luckily it was just twelve hours and I was glad to have the noise back.

I am an only child so I'm used to being alone in the house all time. What I normally do is read books. I can really say that I never feel alone with a good book on hand. Time seems to fly fast when I am reading.
