Why do guys have to compete?

i've seen alot of competition between guys everywhere... first, they compete on who's smarter.. who can give a better working performance and so on..who can study better.. who is closer to their boss.. second, they compete in relationship.. who has the ability to get that pretty woman out there.. they keep competing.. regardless of age and money... they can spend alot of money just to win that pretty lady heart.. but.. who's the final winner? i think it's the lady.. because the lady has 2 or more guys chasing after her..... why do guys have to compete among one another? i believe it's not just guy.. girls too right? why why and why?

Yes well I have seen this amoungst my three sons as well and they have asked me this question as well I think it is just part of the human being as it is not only males like this it does occur amongst the woman as well. This is part of life unfortunately and we just have to try and accept it.

unfortunately.. not many want to reply this post.. i think they're shy to answer this question.. haha.. i do know women will compete among one another.. they want to compete to see who's prettier.. and so on.. right?

Hello,charlestchan,people like to compete becuase they want show other peopel they are better than than the others,they want someone to praise them,most of the time,it is because they are lack of security and confidence,that is why they want to be better than the others.
For me,I am happy for who I am, I will not envy abouy anymone.

oh.. that means you don't have the desire to compete with others? but .. yes.. you're pretty.. so you don't really have to worry about others... do others compete to see who's richer? why do they have to compete huh? working together is fine .. i heard in west countries.. people value individualism.. unlike asian countries.. we prefer cooperation and work in group...that could be the reason why people like to compete?
