Pakistan

Wherever you go like shopping, paying bills, getting wages/ salaries etc, then what would you prefer from these .Would you prefer a credit card to get your salary or pay the bills by a credit card or pay the shop owner's by credit cards or else would you prefer cash in hand. I don't have much personal experience of most of these tings except shoppping and I prefer cash in hand while shopping. What'd you prefer from these? Why would your prefer one of these?

Well i do think that each and every one of us has his unique way, and it changes through periods of his life according to how he things he will avoid from spending much money, and get his bank account to be in an overdraft. Lol. I know that in the past, i did everything with my credit card, every payment. The reason was the stars, i wanted as much stars credited to my credit account, and i bought free stuff with those stars. There was also many discounts on things you bought with the stars system. But now, i know that the best way for me is cash. I started realizing that when i got my credit bills, and seeing that i really lost my control on me money, i did spend too much. This days, i just know how much money i have in my pocket everyday, and when it is finished it is finished and that is the end. That is the best way for me.

It's definitely the card for me if possible. There are usually reward points given for purchases so why not? No harm redeeming a free movie ticket or something. :P

Yup, that's the same as my sister recommends and does, but it's strange to see that it's nnot quite common on our country.

I really don't like credit cards much. They can give a sense of false security and many people have been more and more in dept because of them. As a rule I don't use them unless I have no choice - online shopping is one of the exceptions for me, and for those cases I use a prepaid credit card. I like to get my salary deposited directly in the bank so I don't have to go and spend time picking up cheques and depositing them. For my normal purchases I prefer a debit card. That means I don't have to go around with a lot of money on me, but I am still using my own money that I don't have to pay back at any time. In my idea if I don't have money to buy something, then I don't buy it. Using a credit card in those circumstances is never a good idea. Before debit cards, one of the only good things about credit cards was the fact that we didn't have to go around with lots of cash on us - which is something I don't like to much, not only for the obvious reasons of theft or mugging, but also because I tend to loose money LOL. But since the debit cards came up, I find the to be my first choice at all times.

I will pay using credit card whenever the retail shop accepted credit card else then I will use cash. The credit card that I have does earn points for all purchases and I can use the points to exchange for vouchers or airline mileages for air ticket. At the statement due date, I will pay up in full so as not to incur interest charges.

When u talk abt cash, u can run out of it anytime. Say u r in midst of shopping and u can run out of money. In that regards card is better. But credit cards give u a false sense of security, as sometimes u just keep on paying using them and u get a really huge bill in end and u do not have resources to pay the bills at that time. I personally have found the debit cards to be best options as they can give u good flexibility of not carrying much cash and at the same time u just spend that much money which u have in ur account, so no overspending!

I prefer to use cash, but find credit and debit cards pretty convenient. On my travels, I tend to use Debit and credit cards and on my day to day activities I prefer to use cash. The only major hitch that I find in using cash is that the notes get soiled with use and then after some time, people refuse to accept them and that pisses me off. Cheers! Ram

It really depends on the situation. I often use cash when i pay. But there are times that i use credit card to gain travel points. I am not really particular with this. As long as i pay and i don't steal any will do for me. Goodluck!

I prefer cash than card for I have a bad experience in credit card before here in the Philippines. It was my first and last transaction then and never renewed it anymore. When my bill arrived, I paid the whole amount already in the bank but surprisingly the next months I'm still receiving a bill. I called up the number they gave me, but no action done. Unlike in the US that you can complain at once and that they will do the necessary action for your complain immediately. Though card is more handy and safe, cash is better for me and I can control my shopping habit.

If credit card is possible i prefer to use it, then i just manage the bill for payment so soon. I can easily determine my expenses due to proofs made reflected in the billing statement. It helps me to estimate my budget. Plus i can have rewards from credit card. In some case, i use cash especially if some store has surcharge fee.

I prefer cash in hand that way I know what I am spending, but that is not how it always goes for me. I use credit cards when I have to. I don't use checks. I find it is a waste of paper. I pay my bills with money orders. I feel better doing it that way because I know that there will not be returned fee on it and if it does get lost, I always have piece of mind that I have the stub and don't have to worry about it. I prefer cash, because I guess I get a little paranoid with people out there taking pictures of credit cards and making their own and racking up a huge debt. I just prefer to use cash that way I know that I am safe.

it depends ,i 'd like to pay by cash in hand if the accounts is little when shopping,i think it is not necessary to use credit cards if the account is not so much, because i always have some chages in my pocket,of course if the account is so much ,i chose to pay it by credit cards, because it is more convertioner to myself and others.in fact,in my country, most of people use cash in hand.

Always cash, although I do have credit cards for emergencys. I see to many people fall into the trap of credit card debit. If I don't have the cash, then I don't need the purchase. (Great Question)

of course,i choose credit card.it is really popular nowadays.credit card is cleaner than cash.you know,a bank note can be circulated by so many people,a lot of hand have touched it.so cashes could contain a great deal of bacteria.but credit card is different,it can only used by yourself.and credit card is safer than cash,to a certain extent,i mean,if you lost you cashes you could never find them back, but if you lost your credit card you could call the bank to report the loss of your credit card and the money in you card could be safe.furthermore, everyone knows and likes, credit card can provide you with overdraft and instalment.so if you want to buy a laptop which you can not afford to pay off right away, then you can use your credit card.you can buy them home and pay your bill in installments.so you can possess what you want in advance but not need to save money hardly and buy them till u have enough money.that's pretty cool.but be careful, don't be a card slavery.lol.in addition, credit card dose have its drawbacks, for example,it's not very efficient, cash paying is faster than credit card paying.
