i know a lot of people, including me, who had a fair share of pain and sufferings living with their partners.but, how much of those can one take that would allow him or her to go on living life normally?

I always have a high threshold for pain, physically and emotionally, so I usually take all the pain until my brain refuses to bear them anymore.. .even if my body and my heart can still take more pain.
I still live a normal life even if I'm under a lot of pain and stress, afterall, everybody knows I'm a good actress, a great pretender, I can take them all as long as I can still see a future, as long as I can see a tiny hope that everything will be ok sometime... But then, we always know when enough is enough...

I would say that I can take the whatever pain it is as long as I could still be able to manage and handle it. But if the pain's too much already that I couldn't take it anymore, that's when I could no longer bear it, and then I have to let go the relationship.
Pain, like any other else, is immeasurable. As you go along, you would then realize how you were able to surpass all the pains you have been through. :)
