I am trying to post a new discussion in a particular area of interest but for the last two days my discussions are not being posted in that area and even I cannot find it anywhere, but only in my profile. One more thing that irritated me most is that either I post a comment on a response, it prompts me for tags. Ebarrasing one, I think so :(
But I would not go for stop posting!
Well, what do you feel about it? Would you wait till the matter is fixed or keep on posting? Do you have or had the same problem? How you got resolved? Please help and share!

Hello, aliasad, I do not have this problem but i have some other problems like cannot choose the best response.I think they are gltiches of mylot, most of the time i will be fine in short time, if not , you may try to restart the computer to see whether things will go well then, sometimes,it works, but most of the time, it does, may be we have to wait until mylot has fixed up the problem.
Good luck.

Hi Easy! I have checked it even by changing the PC but the problem was there. I have sent a PM to mylot and hopefully today they might reply. Seems to be glitch ammm may be. But frankly, it made me a bit disappointed due to the reason that my "Discussion" was in that particular interest!! Thanks for advice too.

One thing that might be causing this issue is that there are doubles of interest groups. I have several interests, and at times it asks me to be a member of an interest I already thought I was in. So if you think you are posting to an interest, and then you go back to look for it... it could be that it got plopped into its own doppelganger.
Is anyone responding to your discussions? if so, then they are posted and available for people tosee, and if you can see them in your "discussions i started" list then they have been published.
As for the tags deal, it's annoying, but it's part of mylot, i guess.

Well, I gonna check my interest list as well. Yes, sometimes while responding to a certain discussion, it asks to add the interest or not! May be double would have problem. But I also tell you one thing more .... do you start your discussion from the tab given up right corner of some discussion? Try it and share your experience. Thanks for reply too.

I have noticed that some of my discussions that I started did not end up where I thought they were going to be. I don't know if this is a quirk of the program or what. Anyway it didn't bother me too much because I still received responses so I guess some people found my discussions.

yes its true. it is very difficult to see our postings. but dont worry mylot keeps track of our postings. also you can watch it in your profile. try it. i was suffering the same thing few months ago but now it is good.
while posting a comment it prompts for tag. there is no harm in it. it's one of the process we have to go through. so enjoy it rather than feeling irritation.

This has never happened to me.You can contact mylot with this issue so that you can get it resolved and post your topics. If this anyway happens to me like you i will also start a topic, so that mylotters will reply me some solutions to proceed and then i will mail mylot to help me.I will save the posting in my notepad &^ try posting later but i will not give up.
with reference to tags it just helps us with some related topics which we have submitted tags so that we can reply some more.I skip tags sometimes bcoz nothing will strike my mind for submission.

I had the same problem when I just started out. Subsequently, I stop posting and just do responses and add interest from other people's discussion. Now I don't have such a problem anymore. I guess the interest portion in the profile page matters, but I am not bothered by it anymore. Happy posting :)

I think i just dont mind it as long as somebody or even 2 or 3 only response to it.I just dont mind because i know how to deal with that, i know that i cant catch the attention of others and i accept that fact so i just dont mind it and instead i keep on posting as many as i can which is a relevant and interesting discussion.

It happened to my son when I first referred him here. He posted only one discussion, and it never showed up in the interest where he posted it. We also could not find it by searching for it. He got one response, so it probably went through the new discussions or discussions with no responses before it vanished. I found it on his profile page and responded to it as well. As far as I know, he has not been back because of this. If this would have happened to me on my first day here, I probably would not have come back either.
Since I have been here this long though, and know more about the site, I would not let it stop me now. I would hope that contacting them would fix the problem, but even if it did not, I still would stay. I just wish I could convince my son to come back and give myLot another chance.

No I will not stop posting permanently... I will go for solution and temporarily stop till some solution suggested. I think your interests are mismatched. I had this problem for some time but it was automatically resolved. Write to mylot admin and refer your those discussions reportedly lost!

Oh my. I hoe this does not happen often as I really do want to start more discussions in the near future...It would be devistaing if I was not able to find it lter. You could always use the search box at the top & write in there what the discussion was topic wise & hope for the best.
